What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Is that for Shunkle Sunday Rachel?! ;) :D Cool pic
Shunkle Sunday, indeed. Thanks!
Thaumatrope. From Wikipedia: "A thaumatrope is an optical toy that was popular in the 19th century. A disk with a picture on each side is attached to two pieces of string. When the strings are twirled quickly between the fingers the two pictures appear to blend into one due to the persistence of vision."

Just never know what you're going to learn when you log into BF 🤓 Thaumatrope was a new one to me. Thanks for this morning's intellectual exercise :thumbsup: Gotta keep those brain cells churning around in there😃

I love learning new things. Unfortunately I'll either forget it by tomorrow, or some other important piece of knowledge will be squeezed out to make room
Words are fun. ;) Would you believe that I guessed the correct spelling on the first try? 😇

... maybe what I would have carried about 150yrs ago ... or I might give it some gentle carry/handling today even

Whao! Some kind of custom Okapi?

Thanks, Gary.
No, I'm afraid the images aren't oriented properly to work as a thaumatrope. If only I'd had the foresight to plan better. ;)

Having a little pre-breakfast on the stoop this morning:

Very cool pic! I need to bust my glitter gold out!

Glad you got a nice one buddy, that's some good-looking Rosewood :) If you blow some canned air through the joint after you've oiled it, you may find some gunk comes out

Thank you, Jack. This is a nice example and I am learning why there is a well-deserved affinity for the Lambsfoot.

I’ve done some standard gunk removal and will find the can of compressed air to do the same.
