I wish. Seems like it’s either too much or not enough. We probably only got 9 inches all season which is less than half of normal.I sure wish I could send some of our rain to Sacto and Modoc Ed. We were around 15 inches ahead of normal before last night/this morning.
2318PU (in the rain) for Black Friday.

Thank you, Jack. This is a nice example and I am learning why there is a well-deserved affinity for the Lambsfoot.
I’ve done some standard gunk removal and will find the can of compressed air to do the same.
I think of it as a Victorinox cattle knife with caplifter. Thanks GT, I am a big fan of the Electrician as well.

Thanks for the info about TL-29 shields, Steve. I've probably led a sheltered life that cause me to think that some common things are rare.I don't think so Gary and thanks !
Takes a lot of brass to post that!!

Chestnut jigged bone is irresistible to me!
I admire that you know what you'll order before you even get there - no need to look at a menu!... get ready to go to the Brass Rail this evening for dinner - lamb steak sliced really thin so I can gum it along with Spanish Rice, salad, and a baked potato. ...

Thanks for the informative reply, Dan!Hi GT, it is an exceptionally well made knife.
I really like mine.
I think the rivet is mostly decorative as it is a motif in several of their designs.
If I look in the well it appears that the portion of the rivet is used to hold the bone covers as well.
It feels solid with a nice blade geometry, VG10 steel. Excellent F&F
edit: for less than $50 canadian is a really good buy imo
Sounds like a special knife for you!Thank you for compliment . I bought this knife new when I was a teenager . It was my first Case knife . No it is not green bone ; it’s chestnut bone ,but I think it looks somewhat like jigged Appaloosa bone .
Quality trio, Jeff!
Sounds great, Alan! It’s actually OD Gary. It’s Victorinox’s typical high quality but too large for every day pocket carry. It came in a nice sheath so most days it sits in my pack. I was looking for something new and this popped up on the auction site. The seller lived near me so I took a shot and made an offer which he accepted. We met for coffee one morning, so all in all a very good deal.View attachment 1602155
Been there, done that!Sadly, we did not visit any lighthouses. That was clearly on my agenda, but with only a few days in which to fit several activities, it wasn’t at the top of the list. Dad got outvoted.Alternating days sounds fantastic to me also, I often come home from a vacation exhausted!

Thanks, Gary.
No, I'm afraid the images aren't oriented properly to work as a thaumatrope. If only I'd had the foresight to plan better.
...
I'm with Mike, Rachel; that was a new word for me, too!...
Just never know what you're going to learn when you log into BFThaumatrope was a new one to me. Thanks for this morning's intellectual exercise
Gotta keep those brain cells churning around in there
