Thanks John, it has a tiny bit of blade rap but it should sharpen right out. I’ve never considered red to be my favorite color, but I seem to be drawn to it, especially in the alox.The Berry Red Bantam is beautiful... like a jewel![]()

Thanks! I debated the same thing. Ultimately went with the canvas micarta for the brushed bolsters. They don't show fingerprints or scratches as bad as the polished bolsters. Glad you got yours fixed upNICE Mike !!! ... I debated and debated getting the Natural Canvas Micarta but ended up selecting the Black Linen Micarta version. Should have gotten both maybe.
Thing was, after I cleaned all the gunk out, there was so much blade play that the knife actually RATTLED when shaken. Never had a knife with so much play.
Sent it back to Buck and a couple of months later, received it to find all issues corrected ... but the blade release was/still is a little stiff and continues to break in and loosen up.
