You're definitely styling today with those two amazing beauties; have an awesome weekend!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Been an office day so far, but taking my wife out to a nice dinner tonight for our 44th. I'm going to dress a bit better than usual, so a light pocketknife that wears well in slacks (but can cut the inevitable string off my wife's button, etc.) is in order. The Case 6308 Whittler gets the honor. OH

Congratulations

Sounds like a ton of fun.
Glad you're getting to use your new boat a lot this Summer.
Thanks John, yeah we are having a ton of fun with it! 😎👍
Sounds like y'all had a great time! Love to see a picture of your boats (old & new) - always enjoying seeing boat photo's (add a knife to the post!!) OH
We are Bruce, these aren’t the best pictures but this is the only one of the old one I can find right now. It’s the picture we posted on some Facebook garage site (that’s my wife’s thing). It sold in less than an hour. EBF053A0-318E-4C93-AD24-B81B75034894.jpeg
Jere is a picture I just took of the new boat, the deep V hull is so much smoother. 4076ABE3-B627-4173-8F0E-6321ADC99D2D.jpeg
How far up the Big Niangua did you get?
If you went as far as Bridal Cave, you just passed our old lakehouse.
I used to take my fishing boat with 9 1/2 horse Johnson upstream past the hwy 54 bridge, past HaHaTonka, and on up to where it narrowed down and was a river.
HaHaTonka cove became home to the giant striped bass they’d intruduced, but I never caught one. When the first started stocking them, the DNR kept it a secret. Then we starred hearing stories of smashed and splintered fishing rods, wide eyes and shaking hands. They even had a splintered casting rod on the wall at Jacks Sporting Goods.
If you’ve never done it, next time you should go fishing below Bagnell Dam. The fishing there is unbelievable, but be prepared for snags. If you go at the right time, you can fill a five gal bucket with crappie. Or cast huge treble hooks with haevy weights to snag paddkefish.
Good times.
Hey Jeff, we went to Ha Ha Tonka State Park, or as my wife calls it Honky Tonk State Park! 😂 We did pass Bridal Cave and my daughter snapped a picture. That’s the first time we have been in that arm of the lake. Glad we had a depth finder and depth charts because as I’m sure you know, there is some really shallow water back there, but we really liked it down there. 😊👍46BF08C3-9277-425E-A605-BE2AC9AF7EF6.jpeg
