Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Wow David! The coloring of the scales is unbelievable! they look great with the Damascus blade too.

Thank you Bob! :) I'm really happy with the way it seems to have come together - can't wait to actually get it in hand. Wishing you well my friend. Blessings.

Northfield 73 in Stag

Harry

Congrats, Harry!:thumbup: Is this a back-up to the one you've been carrying recently?

I just ordered a 2007 Buck 389 canoe with 420HC blades and stag covers; I didn't know until today that such a thing existed. It will be my first stag knife.

The 73 that I just ordered , and has now left Oklahoma City , will be a gift for one of my Grandsons. I figured that I should get it before they are all gone. Congrats on your order of your first Stag. Stag is my favorite of all handle materials. One of my daughters is moving to Holland in August. Will that be close to you ??

I'm not entirely sure this counts, but Rick Menefee emailed last night to tell me that he's done with the spa treatment on one of his small swayback wharnecliffes in nature Micarta that I sent him. It was one of the first slip joints and he no longer makes them as small. I was very surprised that he didn't want any money to fix the knife up. Quite an awesome gesture.

I'm excited to see it revamped! And now I know there won't be more it will be relegated to the "casket stash".

Thanks, Harry. I've always liked the look of stag, but have never owned any, so I'm looking forward to the stag canoe! (Of course, I hope I don't like it TOO much, because stag seems to demand a premium that would bust my budget. :o)
Your grandson is a lucky man to have a generous grandpa with superior taste in knives! :D
Holland MI is about 30 miles southwest of me.

Nice one, SAK Guy!:thumbup: Is the Davy's Gray Farmer one of those slightly smaller versions?

I am headed down a slippery slope...a Lanny's Clip in chestnut bone just got shipped. I also got placed on Jim Dunlop's wait list. In 12 weeks or so I will be able to compare them. My curiosity got the better of me. first fray into semi custom/custom knives.

I just ordered this beautiful hunter from Stuart Davenport (samuraistuart here on BFC).
Thinly ground CPM-M4 @ 64 HRc with a 28° inclusive edge, should be a slicing machine!
