Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Came across this by accident and it was love at first sight. Single blade? Check. Wharncliffe? Check. Green composite? Check. Classic looks with modern materials? Check. Right size? Check. I'm pretty stoked.

Saw this US made Boker 1064 on Ebay this morning and it just spoke to me.

I don't normally like those little bolster tips on a pen knife, and I don't know anything about the American made Bokers, but the blades just spoke to me.
I don't normally like this kind of swedge on a spear point blade either.
The bone scales don't really look all that well fit, but hopefully the blades open parallel ( one of my biggest pet peeves) and have acceptable W&T.
Looks to be NOS, and I didn't pay much so I won't mind passing it on if I don't end up loving it.

Strange how a knife with a couple features I don't normally like ended up calling to me.

We have had an old wooden box for 47 years that has the name of LANDERS , FRARY & CLARK on it . I have taken pictures of most of my knives on the box and many of those pictures have been posted in different threads here . I have been trying to find an LF&C Knife that did not have the Gum Fuddy Handles for quite a while and have finally found one . It is far from perfect but I did not pay much for it . After seeing how gorgeous the wood is on my new Brazillian cherry wood gec 23 beavertail.
I just went and ordered one of their 97 Alleghenny's in the same cover.

I gave in to temptation, and bought a GEC 54 equal end, three blade whittler, in red acrylic. I had never even heard of them before....made in 2008. I'll post pics when it arrives.

Hopefully not a bad sign that it is still in stock two years after being released, but I just picked up this GEC #44 in autumn gold jigged bone off DLT this morning.

I love my Tidioute version, and my guess is you will be very pleased with the Northfield.

Thanks for providing your experience. I haven't seen too many posts on here regarding it, but I know that I'll get more use out of a clip point than the spear point 92 I currently have.

Well, both types have their uses. My first GEC was (and still is) a 44 in ebony. I like it a lot. It is a hand-filling type of knife, and that large pen blade is more useful than I imagined it would be.
My 92's get a lot of pocket time, as well... I like a spear point blade. They could have made it slightly less "bulbous" of a spear, and I think it would be perfect.... but there are no flies on them, the way they are...
I think you will like your 44... this is mine...

Poor choice of words, sorry. While the 92 definitely has its uses, I was more trying to say that the spear point blade shape just isn't for me as much as a clip point. I like the 92 well enough and carry it occasionally, but the traditional that is in my pocket most is a 93 in oily creek bone.

Yours is a beauty for sure. If mine is anything like that I think I will be happy with it. I'll be sure to post pics in the other thread when it shows up. Thanks!
