Maelstorm, sweet looking Honesuki, how does it slice?
It's a tad tall in the heel for a Japanese boning knife IMHO but you have done an excellent job on it with fit & finish.
Keep them rolling in!
I did a FFG with convex edge and it slices and chops very well thanks!
Thanks! I couldn't stop myself from making it tall enough to chop wihout hitting my knuckles. We'll call it a Japanese cutlery inspired knife then![]()
Stayed up all night and then skipped breakfast....

Lovely blades; it takes a lot of effort to get them to this degree of finish. The pin location in the harpoon blade handle, tends to through the line off a bit. They are beauties, especially the big clip.
Thanks Fred!
*whisper voice* "yeah I saw that pin location.... I am trying not to think about it.... bothers me.... won't ever happen again...." :foot:
In light of this pic, I think you should name your neck knives the cigar cutterBunch of neck knives (10), envelope is 3"x 1.5" 3/16" thickness D2 (Bohler K110)

Sweet!!
On the yellow handled knife, did you use a small wheel to get the groove in the top of the handle?
Great work!
