I spent most of the weekend taking, reviewing, re-taking and editing photos of our new finishes. Hand rubbed satin and Mirror. I did our three outdoor models and ended up with over 30 good photos :D

Those things look 1000 times better with the milling grooves sanded out! Good work!

Those look great! I like the clean look without the milling grooves too.

I got my hardness tester all setup this weekend and finished this one out today.
1/8" 1075
3-3/8" blade
7-7/8" overall
First fuller, milled on both sides
Acid etched and stonewashed finish
Homemade Mexican blanket mycarta
CA glue, 600 grit, buff

Very nice! Fuller looks great and that mycarta is an eye catcher. The blanket "stack" is on edge horizontally correct?

Here's a thread I started back when I made it. Yes it took this long to finally use it.

Also finished up this on Sunday.
1075 and my first go with a hamon, dealing with antler, and doing a pommel. One side came out ok, other side has a gigantic gap between the bolster and scale. When I was preening the pins, the pin got twisted all weird. Never had that happen before. Either way my ole man will be stoked on it.

4x Sphinx from 4,5mm Bohler N690 and 1x Gryphon from N690.

Thinking about to make swedge on all 5 knives.

And maybe some other color I will put on scales, maybe Neon green, orange and black :P

Sorry, no pictures as always, but to pass a bit of information. I have cut and sized down scales from a sperm whales tooth. Boy does it grind and finish nicely ! It also seems to maintain the flat scales I wanted and not warp as I went along.

Man Frank you need to get the picture deal figured out! I want to see that.

Cutting out another 50 bookmatched pairs of mahogany, red oak, teak, walnut and cherry, to go out tomorrow to a knifemaker who's a little further along the path than I am. I actually posted around the area for any knifemakers who didn't have their own space, they can come have a piece of my warehouse studio for free in exchange for answering a few questions (and of course, free scales included). Am collecting metal and had 220 put in, won't be long now!

Working on a few things. My first camp knife design, first dagger, first large hunter, and a couple small hunters. REally having fun with this run
