I've been busy... heat treated over 50 knives and tools in the last week or so and also have 8 framelocks going in various stages. Here's a RF1 I just finished up today.

Here was the bench this morning, it's a bit crowded! I have 6 of my TJT framelocks going in CTS-XHP and Ti/Carbide... several RF1 framelock blades, a fricky in XHP, 2 fixed blade tantos in .315" D2 and a one off 4" blade framelock in CPM154.

Nope, I never buy scales. I always rip my own from blocks. Handle configurations are my own designs. I actually don't even know what WSSI is... Lol.
Blessings,
Joshua

Edit * lol I looked them up. No I've never bought blocks from them. I go through a multitude of different suppliers, kind of just buy when I think it will look good and doesn't cost me a trillion dollars. Thought WSSI was completely something else. Apologies if I sounded defensive in any way. :D

Joshua,
No worries,
Mike at WSSI is one of the three original companies going back over 20 years supplying the Knife maker market with blocks & scales of Dyed & Stabilized woods. I use WSSI & K & G for getting my blocks dyed & Stabilized.

I learned the hard way getting some blocks from one on the multitudes that do this these days. They can look great, but the stabilization on the inside is what really counts.

I just love this thread

First time using micro mesh (up to 12000)
I always thought that a 2500grit finish was shiny and smooth, but a little extra shop time and whow!!

Great work everyone, loving it!

I'm doing a few design changes to our Osprey model. Here's a CAD screen shot of the progress so far.

I've been playing around with natural texturing lately. Some is straight up fusing, others have been heat based reticulation.

Finished this one up today. This was almost one that I tossed in the scrap bucket. Glad I finished it out. Forged 1084 and my first ever single bevel and asymmetrical handle for a right handed person. Let me know what you think!

Nathan do you make those canvas/balistic nylon/cordura/whatever they are tan sheaths in that pic??

Those are the SpecOps "Combat Master". Award winning, MOLLE compatible, jump certified. They're pretty popular with some of the troops that need a certain level of retention. The have a plastic liner that I form to fit the thinner blades. It's pretty straight forward.

My bench today

Minutes ago via chat with the customer:

me: your santoku is almost ready, only minor details left
c: cool stainless like I wanted right?
you didn't want carbon steel? Checked chat and he was right, offered refund or to do it again, he accepted to wait for a new one, upgraded his kydex sheat for a nice leather one for free...

First time it happens in years, there is always a first time... :D
