Thank you! That also wobbled as I ground. It was straight out of the quench and as I started grinding it looked like I was getting off center. I set it up on the surface plate and it had bowed .100" ! So I ground the other side to the same level and it bowed the other way .060. So after some back and forth I ended up with it straight and ground the same on both sides.

So on the boning knife, that's my plan from the start. Even passes on both sides.

Finished these two for Christmas

That Garand ROCKS!..Pretty work sir and props for coming up with the concept.

Finished this nakiri a couple of days ago. My take on a nakiri anyway. 0.0937 52100 ground to almost zero, ironwood burl, and copper pins. I really like this knife and how the grinds came out.

First blade for 2017, first chef knife, and first wa handle. Pleased with the outcome but have a lot to learn. Definitely an enjoyable challenge. :D

Ground my first 3 gyutos today. All 210mm, one might have gotten a BIT too thin oO. Still has some convex but I might just keep it for myself... 52100 @ 62 HRC from Peters.
