Thank you John, really appreciate that. These are all done on a flat platen. Getting sweeping plunges is something I am still working at.
Latest one done, pleased with the end result. :)

radius curve of the belt wrapped around the platen corner, right?

Found this fella locally. Looking forward to see where I'm at with home heat treating w2 in the forge.

I just finished up these two chef's knives

Finally found a used kiln locally that will be a good starter. Just hooked up the controller I made for my tempering toaster oven and works great. The inside looks almost brand new! I actually got a response from a guy responding to my craigslist ad. He stopped making blades years ago after he got into making custom backpacks. And wanted to see if I might want his old kiln. Pretty cool.

And my wife is happy that we have a brand new toaster oven now. The old will now be used for kydex.

Completed!

Just finished this one. It has some old micarta scales, I really liked how it turned out. I have another set next time I will add a red liner.

Occamsblade, good score! Nice nessie Mr. Carlson.
Everyone here does pretty good work. I always look to this thread for positivity and motivation.

Decided to make a 1084 prototype for a modified version of a classic Schrade I've been commissioned to do in Z-Wear. I liked how it turned out so I put scales on and made a sheath. I just kinda banged the pin holes in there and now I wish I'd laid them out a little more carefully like I would for the actual knife. Maybe I'll plunk a thong tube through the back still.

Here is something I'm excited about. First feather on my press. I have made some before, without the press. I tried a little different stack. I made two billets and mixed them at the final stack. I haven't welded or split it yet😬
