the holder I saw on someone's IG @rigoni_ironworks, and asked the maker if he had any available but he did not.
My holder was made by someone else interpreting the rigoni design.
he has one left on eBay

I just guessed it might be a popular style to make them in after seeing yours as well. It's definitely a neat design

Been wanting a Bill Moran style knife vice since I first saw one some years ago. Also picked up Uncle Al's guard jack, and in the background on the bigger blade is the file guide from the same place.
Starting to seriously hunt for a hydraulic press or 50-60lb power hammer. Just think, only $5k more and I will have my purchases complete (for this year)

Got the frame handle rough cut out and started shaping. I’m getting really nervous about the small pin holes along the top that I may have put them too close to the edge. Trying to be real careful sanding at the top now.

Things were going really good and the handle was starting to take shape...

Then because I’m a big idiot I tried to fit the pins that were too tight. I got one stuck and trying to pull it out snapped the top back corner off. I tried to grind back down past the break then drilled a new pin hole. I’m just really not happy with how it looks now. I’m trying to decide if I bin it and start from scratch, try to salvage it in some way by maybe cutting the back off and grafting on another type of wood, or if I just need to walk away from this moment of anger to decide if it is as horrible as I feel it is right now. This is what it looks like now

Here is a Petty or Utility knife recently finished 6 3/4 13c26 blade and Resinwood handle with stainless and mosaic pins. This is my second Saya I thought the plywood played well off of the handle.

I started my big spring Restock. Got a huge variety of woods coming in all this month. Big batch of Masur birch landed earlier today!

I had this stuff cut thicker than you normally see Masur. Im also working on a new slab of curly Japanese cedar. Its gonna need a while to dry, But i took photos during the breakdown. Ill try to get a WIP up next week.

I also turned 21! So that was fun!

Its not something we see much in the states.
