I want to try my hand at something similar.Ok so it's 8" blade and around 4.75/5" handle depending on where you want to say it starts. .100 at the spine with a distal taper starting about halfway down the blade. I haven't done the final sharpening but the edge is pretty darn thin. Maybe a couple thousanths. 2" at the heel.
Just finished this 9.5” (15.75” OAL) k-tip .100 AEB-L (62.5 Rockwell). Scales are cocobolo and Ebony with a Tiffany blue liner.

Those are near perfect. Every time I think micarta is boring I get schooled. I love K tips but am never sure about putting one together and looking right.Here is a set of knives I just finished for a customer. It's a Gyuto Ktip 210mm and a Santoku Ktip 165mm. Both in O1 at 64 HRC.
