This is a 210mm Petty that was designed based on input from Carl Kristian Frederiksen, chef at Dill restaurant in Reykjavik. The blade is differentially hardened W2 @62 HRC. The handle is sugi cedar with buffalo horn and nickel-silver accents and the saya is Hawaiian koa.

I like the long petty style and recently did one myself

Sweet work gentlemen

Haven't posted anything here in awhile, but really proud of this latest one I just finished up. First time doing a single bevel, and using (200 layered) Ni-Mai steel.

EDIT: should clarify that I didn't make the Ni-Mai myself. Just hammered the crap out of it. Gregg at Dion Damascus made a special order bar of it for me. Great guy.

Finished the 1084 blade from earlier. Belt-finished, which is unusual for me. Got to do more of that...
This new (to me?) Richlite material from Masecraft is interesting. It works like paper micarta, but maybe a tad lighter weight? I didn't expect the camo-splotch pattern. Sharp abrasives at low speed are the way to go with this stuff.
