Why?Beuatiful knives , I like them .You should round little all that sharp edge and corners on ricasso ......
To make it more comfortable to finger ? Look like steel in front of scale has very sharp edge ?Why?
Only comments that I've had from customers were how great they felt in their hands. I don't think the edge is as sharp in person as they appear in the photos. To make it more comfortable to finger ? Look like steel in front of scale has very sharp edge ?

Or, just drill your holes before you taper...Easy way to dril hole in knife with tapered tang ? Make two of themOne with distal taper blade and one with distal taper tang and drill hole in both at once

For drilling tapered tangs you build a jig that clamps at the ricasso and supports the tang to drill for the scales.
Do you have a pic of this jig? I've just been measuring the taper and using whatever is laying around to shim under the scale and drill through. That's how this one was done (not finished - still a work in progress!!).

You support blade /jig/ on flats on ricasso and then you use shims on end of scaleDo you have a pic of this jig?
