Here's a couple orders that were just completed. Guys wife cut her thumb open the first day he got a chefs knife. The next day he ordered these 2. Not sure what that means.

Small camp knife and a paring knife in AEBL. Also my second attempt at file work. Not perfect but passable.

Well, not finished by any stretch, but this is my first liner lock. I started this about three years ago. I’m getting around to finishing it now.

Blade is z-wear, Rc63. Titanium liner lock. Bolsters are raindrop damascus (not heat treated yet) and the scales are bird’s eye maple, stabilized at K&G. Still a lot of fiddling to do, but it’s roughly put together. Hoping to have it done by the end of the week.

Ooooo-we, those bolsters are nice but not as nice as those pants.

Here's my first ever knife, finished today.

1075 steel done without a belt grinder and heat treated in a charcoal fire in the back yard. I've still got a lot to learn but really enjoyed it.

I'd be glad to hear any tips or pointers

Looks a lot like one of my first knives! Good job, keep going. Smart steel choice for your equipment.

I was waiting for epoxy to cure.
So let's do something stupid and enjoy it :)
I had this blade almost ready for HT about ten years ago. Then a clamp broke, the tip bend, it all went behhhhhh and I never could bring myself to pick it up again. Almost forgot about it.

Drawfiled the tip and re-handsanded. Just some more sanding and I'll get it HT'ed. Just a fun project

A couple more finished/finishing.

Z-tuff at Rc61, 5,5” blade, black g-10 guard and scales. Orange and black g-10 spacers. I made a mistake and should have used another orange spacer in the guard. There is a black gap between the guard and orange spine. This knife is a copy of the orange handled one I made last month.

This one is A2 at Rc62. It has my Alberta Anti Theft system. I have a gouge in the spine on the other side from my wife startling me when grinding. I’m giving this one to my brother in law for his toolbox as it’s unsellable. Made the sheath last night.

Here's a slim little blade, about 7 1/4" in 80CRV2 and dyed/stabilized Jacaranda scales, reminds me of our desert sandstone! Homebrew mosaic pins too! It cuts post card paper before sharpening. Now go get out there and shine me up and make me a sheath!wip.JPG wip1.JPG

Chef no 3 out if this shop. Tried a new color G10, "bluegrey". White G10 liners. 0.1" 14C28N @62 Hrc, virtually zero ground before sharpened.
Handle at 1300 grit. Blade 400 then fine and very fine Scotchbrite.
Self criticism is that the recurve in the spine turned out a little too sharp, palm swell should be a little closer to blade and the front part of the bolster could have been a little "higher" or "vertically thicker" if that makes sense.

Working on the EDC KITH reject, took too much material off the front of the scale unfortunately. Western Santoku is a project by colleague of mine as a present for his dad's birthday, made him sand hand to realize knife making is not as easy as it looks :)
Fredy , shape that sanding plate like this ........................
