  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Making my first 330mm suhijiki and I had to improvise a grinding jig that would work on such a long blade. It looks a bit sketchy but it's working great so far! Just have one side roughed in so far though. Steel is 80CRV2.

when this was first made, the pin holes were of a completely arbitrary size- can't remember exactly, but bigger than 1/4". I don't even have a drill bit the right size so what the hell was I thinking? So I smashed a couple brass slugs into the holes and I'll be drilling the brass to fit standard corby bolts. I've sat on my ass with this knife for years, and I wish I'd thought of it sooner because it's 85% done. I made a mess with my grinder today, lots of mistakes to correct. But I'm a newb, so I try not to be too hard on myself and count all the f-ups as tuition

I guess I hate it a little less than you guys. I made two pieces with it. I don't think I'd use it again, but once finished it feels ok.
It seems fine, but with carry it starts to get prickly again...I have only one folder with it and it seems like every time I carry it I wind up having to glue a stray stand back down 🤬

it's the part between sheet form and handle form which sucks the most
