What's going on in your shop? Show us whats going on, and talk a bit about your work!

I'm waiting for some 8/1000" brass te be delivered and use it as shim stock on an other slipjoint I am making.
In the meantime I got a bit further on this one.

That is absolutely stunning,

love the grind to the long pull, Cannot wait to see it handled!

Spent the afternoon deciphering Chinese and getting the diesel heater put together and tested.

I still need to make a full enclosure for it, but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of heat this cranks out. This will help keep the added moisture from using the small propane heaters out of the shop and be more cost effective.
I have two more heaters I bought, for the other shop and one for the traveling knife showroom bus to install next.

Making progress. Had I been going for a satin finish this is the first knife I’ve ever made that was pretty much ready for handles straight off the belt. But I wanted a slightly different look so I hand sand to P2000. Just need to knock the edge back a bit and put handles on it. Most of the clay popped off in the oven but I still like the way it looks.

Besides picking up the Wilson 1R Rockwell Tester yesterday, I got a forged pokey blade just about done (needs the sheath still) and heat treated several more 80CRV2 blades!

2 fixed blades based on the Benchmade Bugout, traced around an old Marbles BoyScout or WoodCraft knife and 2 of my EDC 3 model I am working on a template for:

Got any left? 😂
Of what, the micarta? If so, then yeah. I’ve only used a little bit so far.

Gonna go ahead post a pic, since this is the place for that after all, lol.
Put some on this brut de forge wrought iron frame handle kukri I’m working on (pins will be carbon fiber, not brass)

The other micarta is vintage single line butterscotch linen.

my second crack at heirloom fit + tapered tang...some of the mistakes I made the first time around seem to have not been repeated so I'm pretty happy about that!
there's gonna be some other stuff going on with this handle, stuff I haven't really done before, so fingers are still crossed

I had something overly complicated in mind for this handle, but since I already over complicated it, I figured less is more, simple is good.
This is just off the grinder- there will be some hand work before I can call it a day on this

Does anyone know of a source for damascus clad CPM-10V bar stock? I have cpm-154 clad 10V san mai bar, but am looking for Stainless Damascus clad.

BTW, I talked to Frank at NSM, and they have some plates of the clad 10V in stock, .145 x 36" x 18"

Another Gunstock from pattern I adapted from others online, specifically an Ohta. If anyone wants the drawing in PDF or in SVG format (drawn initially in inkscape) let me know.

CPM-154, Vintage Micarta scales, SS bolsters, liners, shield, pin, Bronze washers. 3 5/8" closed

If you are interested in end-to-end build along with tons of pictures/descriptions on process, I did one Build alonghere at Reddit as an experiment. My intention is to redo it into forum format and then into pdf.
