Another Gunstock from pattern I adapted from others online, specifically an Ohta. If anyone wants the drawing in PDF or in SVG format (drawn initially in inkscape) let me know.

CPM-154, Vintage Micarta scales, SS bolsters, liners, shield, pin, Bronze washers. 3 5/8" closed

If you are interested in end-to-end build along with tons of pictures/descriptions on process, I did one Build alonghere at Reddit as an experiment. My intention is to redo it into forum format and then into pdf.

You did a great job.
I would like to give it a go and take a PDF of the knife.

I had these close to finished for a while, calling them done now.
I set up shop in a very old barn that was used as a stables in the past. Over here buildings like that are made out of oak.
Years and years of ammonia from these animals coloured this oak very dark on the outside. I realy like the two tone looks it gives.
The other puukko is walnut and the third knife has desert ironwood.

Beautiful knives, I could put any of those to work right away. How do you shape the pommel in the top image?

Thnx, you mean the one with the "big butt"?
I rough shape on the grinder, draw a middle line on the top and bottom of the knife and use a triangle ruler to make sure left and right are equal.
I do the final shaping with sanding drums in a Foredom.
It takes a lot of holding the handle, closing the eyes and feeling where the handle "is more present in the hand".
I shape the handle before I epoxy it on the knife. The bolster/guard is soldered in place, aligmentt pins make sure it goes on exactly where I want it.
I mean one of these from school:

I am not sure that I understand sufficiently to have a go but thanks for trying to explain it.

I'm happy to explain, what exactly would you like to know?
Nice one,
I picture it in my head kind of like a bit of antler where it goes into the skull, are you making the "shoulder all round then filing/sanding it down to shape or are you making the right shape then putting in the shoulder?

Sorry I have a hard time understanding the question.
The top knife is nickle silver and walnut, no antler.
I make them like this (antler would have been the same)
