These are all for me to use in my own kitchen, so not finished perfectly everywhere. AEBL 62HRC. Handles are K&G stabilised wood, curly ash and spalted silver maple, which I harvested myself, and the folk here recommended I get some dyed. Handles all shaped on the belt grinder, which was a first for me, I usually spend about 3 hours each with files. These went much faster. The smallest one has an s-grind (10" wheel and a lot of hand blending), just to see what it was like. Cuts like crazy.

Any advice for removing tung oil from a blade without using abrasives? :rolleyes:
Apparently some got into the paper towel i had around the blade, and stuck it to the blade. I'm currently soaking it in some thinners, and worst case i can use some Tripoli powder
 
thanks, i decided to polish it off and do another etch. that seems to have worked. I'll have to be more cautious next time with the handle

Did you dye that antler yourself?
