Cool knives JB. I have to admit I have never been overly excited by Buck, probably because I'm not the most traditional oriented guy designwise, and that's what I always think of first when I think of Buck. That first one is Buck as well, I take it? Very cool modern looking design, and I love the grind on the folder.

yes Sir. both Buck knives. one a gck in 3v....the fixed blade. the other is an import from China. I liked the lock setup on it. sorry about posting Buck knives on your forum. wasnt my intention but was all I had pic wise of the cane.

While it looks cool I don't know what the actual benefit is? I know the suretouch brings grip. Is the carbon fiber g10 considerably lighter?

Something neutral to medium dark but not to dark as to make it hard to notice the wow factor.

It won't be a whole lot lighter. The benefit will be purely aesthetic. The knife above has G10 scales and the texture makes it very grippy, not quit on par with Suretouch but definitely enough for utility use.

Finally getting reception here today. Had to reboot my phone a couple times already though...

And ironically had to try twice to send that last post.....

Anyway still workin on sheaths for all those.

Won't be WIPing them though as I am behind on them and just want to get them done without fighting my phone

I'd be curious to know how well if holds up. I know the rifle stocks are great until they get a chip and then they have issues. I'd assume the knife scales would be more layered and resined so it should be crazy strong.

Are you looking at top layer carbon fiber over layered G10 or straight layers of carbon fiber?

1/8" outer layer

The scales look nice, but to be honest I have not liked carbon fiber handles that I previously had on knives. They were pretty slippery when wet. They also were not textured like you showed, and I know you are very attentive to handles, so I am sure they will be great. For me, I would like to stick with Suretouch or matte linen/canvas micarta for now.
