What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Two Michigan Utility Knives for Good Knife Co. almost done.

And More AEB-L cut, profiled, and drilled. I have another half dozen or so little pieces to turn into blanks, and then off to JTknives JTknives for world class heat treatment to give you the best possible performance. I still have to cut in some jimping, but I will wait until tomorrow for that, as it is supposed to be quite a bit warmer, and filing is less fun in the cold. ;) Same with finishing handles, and making sheaths.

Longer knives about 9" overall at the top end.

And everything else about 7 1/2" and under

These are dedicated long neckers

These are knuckle clearance large neckers

I will publish exact specs on each of them when come back from heat treatment, as they get finished and put up for sale.

The last of the AEB-L steel has been cut. At this time, I am closing books to new orders. Anyone can send me the build they are interested in, and also call dibs on something they see here in WIP so you can have first crack at it and suggest handle and sheath details. But I should be able to stop taking deposits altogether here, with exceptions for possible dealer collaborations, and limit runs to whatever the demand indicates is a reasonable venture for me to take on. My investment nest egg consists of half a dozen or so big blades in 8670 and AEB-L, these three dozen AEB-L blades plus a couple LC200N blanks I have been hoarding. There is a partial tang karambit too somewhere.

Oh and one last thing.... didn't get to the jimping today. That will be tomorrow, and hopefully get these shipped to Jarod sometime next week.

So I guess I worded it a little wrong. Books are not exactly closed, but rather a new chapter is opened where I put down what someone wants and take no money up front, giving me greater freedom to complete the project (or not) in my own time.
