What's on your keys?

On my keys are:

Leatherman P4 Squirt
Fenix E01
True Utility money capsule, containing a rolled up £20 note

House key, key ring cards; library card, rewards carsd etc., p.51 can opener, lanyard. I would like to put a mini mag light on it. But I have to keep it pretty clean because I go to school.

Target usually has Mag Solitaires for less than $5.

Please tell me that schools still let their students carry a flashlight.

Since you seem to be the autority on Atwood's stuff powernoodle, how could I get my hands on a plain prybaby tool?

Where might a fella find one of those. That's a good idea for finding keys in the dark.

EDIT: Nevermind, like an idiot I posted before reading further down the thread. I see the ones for sell on CPF. Man those white ones are cool. They might be a little less bright than the green but white light sure is helpful. And since they're sooooo much brighter than others, the white ones will still probably be great.

Be sure to check the Yield chart just so you can see how dim it is. I'm telling you though go with Ice Blue/White at the dimmist, green isn't like a midnight sun or anything but its bright and is the best for locating things in the dark (that its attached to). I like coloured over just plain white as its easier for me to "bead" in on at night. White isn't bad at all its just like you've got a white glowing spot on your bag (its really weird looking but super cool). Green and IceBlue are my favorites and I get a ton of questions from people that see the green glow at night on my keychain.

You know you could get iknitsteel to make a few small tubes for you or get a Merkava DIY V2 (http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=182082) and then have Jerry and the custom shop fab up a special handle for you...You'd be the only one who actually had a radioactive busse!

I ment like an online store not really a forum. BladeForums already eats up most of my spare time :D

Just create a account, make like three posts so you can get PMs and then order one...CPF is a handy place for you to learn about EDC flashlights and what all is out there (as well as find some sweeeeet prices).

Oh and just a little reminder...Tritium is illegal to import into the USA

iknitsteel is already in the USA and ships from in the USA so theres no issues there, Merkava ships the items marked as a "Novelty Keychain" which is legal to import so your fine with that. B@RT doesn't do either of those and has had a history of having customs stop a few of his shipments, but he offers (check to see if he still does it) and promise of if it gets stopped by customs he will ship you another one.

+1, me too :D  I'm getting a couple of Merkava's later as well for other items.

All of you are so screwed...Tritium is more addictive the knives.

Infi-Del is going to be hurting bad as he's going to need to get a fob for each of his Busses so he can find them at night.

As I've said when you get the merkava's (make sure you get the CLEAR Nite fobs [or his DYI fob whichever]) you take a shot of either hot glue or superglue and just dab it on the bottom of the fob. The plastic plug isn't glued in really well so it can fall out and drop the Trit vial, a shot of glue though seals that up and it will be good to go.

A quick question to all, I have removed a few items from my key ring to avoid too much weight on the ignition in the dash board. Another reason was too much bulk in the pocket. Still have the firesteel and COP Light but took off the SAK. Does anyone know if there is a "Break Off" point were the stress on the vehicle ignition will cause a problem?
Good Luck.

No idea.

I drive a giant piece of crap so the ignition is the least of my worries.

Best bet if your concerned about that is just to have the remote and key on a "car keychain" and then have a quick disconnect to take it from your main keychain whenever you need it.

I'm a minimalist when it comes to keys. On my "personal" ring I have only my ignition key, a couple of odd house-keys, and a handcuff key. One of those little aluminum cylinders to carry my nitro....(fingers crossed; I have not had to use it)

I separate my "work" keys which stay on my gunbelt. That has a spare ignition key, a key to the department's bike shed, and one of those extended handcuff keys that incorporates a light.

Why would Tritium be illegal to import to the states?

Why are so many laws illogical? For example, in Alabama I can own an M-16 or Uzi SMG (legal full-auto firearm) but, I cannot own a semi-auto Short Barrel Rifle (same as the M-16 or Uzi but, semi-auto only). I can buy the same semi-auto high capacity "black/evil" firearms with a 16 inch barrel and overall length of 26 inches with no special restrictions.

Tritium actually falls under the Department of Energy radiation restrictions so, it was probably a law or regulation passed back during the cold war.

Why do you carry nitro is it like Nitrous? I'm not trying to sound stupid but I don't really know what it is.

Nitroglycerin is carried on ones person when they have heart problems. Nitro dilates blood vessels so, when you have Angina it relieves the pain and gives you time to get to a hospital if you are having a heart attack.

That might not be easy, as Atwood stuff is made in fairly small quantities. You might look at edcforums.com. I have a giant Atwood thread going over there, and that place seems to be the epicenter of Atwood stuff.

Dang do you know of any stores that would sell them online?

Why would Tritium be illegal to import to the states?

Because its on the list of "Controlled" items for importing. In a nutshell they don't want people importing it unregulated because it can be used in the making of a thermonuclear device.

Granted its not one of the needed components, but its a booster to help increase the bang.

Your going to need something like a thousand or so 23mm vials just to get enough for whats needed (thus its expensive) and then its hard to contain and when its in the device it needs to be used within a year or else it can make the device "fizzle" and not work...So replace yearly if used.

Watchmakers, Knifemakers, Firearms Manufactures, and a few others can import it if the proper paperwork is filled out.

Just don't go ordering 100 or so of them and you'll be fine. I've got a nice stash of Tritium fobs and vials and I've never had a issue with customs. Oh and once its in the USA your fine provided you don't export it. Incoming/Outgoing is the only regulated/controlled thing on it.

Ah thanks for the info MutedRaccoon, I do have a question for everybody in this thread...

How is the Gerber Artifact, I would love to get an Atwood tool but they are very expencive are harder to come by. Also I would be pretty sad if I lost one. So I was thinking about picking up a Gerber Artifact and removing the blade. but I was wondering if I could take off the entire blade holding thing. Like the pivot and liner so it would be even slimmer? If you can could someone do it quickly and take a picture so I could see what it looks like. Thanks everybody :D
