What's that you're eating?

I had a tooth crowned. it was pretty far gone. I'm lucky it didnt need a root canal.

I have 3 crowns and 1 partial (had 2 partials but one had to be removed because the gap closed up) due to poor dental practices as a child/young adult.

Took me awhile to figure out that I needed to make a change and haven't had a new cavity (but some old ones had to be refilled) in the past 40 years.

Just get dental cleanings 2x/year now. :)

I learned the hard way for certain

Sorry to hear that. 😕

Wife just found out a few days ago that her childhood crown/root canal is too far gone and will need to come out. She’s bummed, but that’s childhood dentistry in south Texas thirty years ago for you. Modern dentistry is amazing. Hope you feel better soon and get back to enjoying your favorite foods.
thanks man. I hope your wife feels better

Came home from work and the wife had a broccoli quiche in the oven and asked me to cook some breakfast sausage

Then she had the audacity to cook zucchini bread!!!

It all looks good, but the bread looks great! When the weather is getting cooler, nice breads are just awesome. Aw heck, they are awesome year round! Enjoy.

"A Mora in every hand, and a roast in every pot." Or something like that.

Mirepoix plus 5 cloves of garlic. I really need a veggie knife.

Curry powder probably looks out of place, but it gives the gravy a rich flavor.

Veggies in the pot with a little flour for good measure.

Now everyone gets to know each other.

I usually use a Dutch oven for this kinda thing but thought I'd try a stock pot. I'll report back later with results.
