What's that you're eating?

I gave up insects of the sea years ago. Blech
I think you and Orson Welles would have gotten along.

I love sushi. Haven't had good sushi in a while. The only thing available to me here is grocery store stuff, and the brand they carry has only one type I like, and it happens to be the type that's almost always sold out. When I lived in Kingston though, I went to Sakura on Bath road a number of times, and always had a great meal and experience.

“The sea’s very own abominable and chittering roach”. I am now sufficiently armed for future cocktail parties. You have my undying thanks oldmanwilly oldmanwilly !

Mhmm, glad to help. I reckon I can save a stamp and avoid inviting you to my shrimp cocktail parties*.

*which I am now absolutely going to make into a real thing that normal people do. Shrimp cocktail, shrimp campechana, shrimp ceviche...heck, I'll even add grilled and fried shrimps straight from the Gulf of Mexico [or whatever asinine thing they're calling it today].

Bubba Blue had a name for all of it, and I've never had a shrimp I would call bad, except the larger ones with the mud vein still left in, still tasted a bit funky, but fully edible.

I’d pull up a seat with you anytime oldmanwilly oldmanwilly
Your food ALWAYS looks delicious ❤️

Well after 3 months of some type of stomach flu, ( idiopathic) of course with countless Dr visits and testing, I think I’ve kicked it.

This is from the homemade chicken vegetable soup batch I made back in April (vacuum sealed and frozen at -25 degrees).

It tastes better than any holiday food I can remember.

EDC was used to cut the turkey sandwich along with the tomato. Got to start it off easy, it’s been a long 3 months, and I celebrated with a double dipped Portillos Italian Beef sandwich last week as a test.

So far, so good, and so delicious too. Best part is I can finally taste it too.
Not much, but to me it’s a feast!

Tonight’s dinner of the soup and 1/2 Turkey Honey Roasted deli + tomato and Mayo.

Wow man, that must have been a rough few months. Hopefully you've kicked it for good. If you're up for it, maybe try a little kimchi or some such to reintroduce some good bacteria?
