Fun side note: I built this bar from the scrap door frames and flooring of an old factory that was demolished. All heart pine. Sketched up the finished frame in auto cad and sent it to a friend who cut the top from a scrap piece of granite. If you look closely at the edge of the top shelf, you can still see the groove from the tongue and groove flooring.
What a fine looking custom bar. Love that heart pine grain. And no surprise it is filled with excellent selections!
 
City Stock on bacon duty in rural Mississippi. Old cast iron on Granny’s 1980s electric Amana range. To add to the fun, these burner coils sporadically surge and glow red hot regardless of where you have the temp set, then disconnect and tilt violently, nearly dumping your pan if your not careful. Especially challenging with a skillet full of bacon fat! 🤣
