What's the best deal you've ever gotten in a knife?

I bought all they had. They make good "throw ins" to close a deal and great gifts too.

I just bought but have not received yet a strider sng Lego coyote brown in mint condition $295

Knife on the bottom right is a late 1800s knife by a renown Hungarian Cutler from the late 18th century I bought this at an estate sale off a lady who got it in a $10 box lot, she sold it to me for either $3 m or $10

I got a hen and rooster out of a quarter push machine once. I put in 1dollar, and got out about 3$ and a knife lol. pretty good deal there.

I bought a New Trailmaster in SanMai III from a sporting good store, for $150.

I used it for a decade, and resold it for exactly that price. (sold instantly at that price).

I could have made some money on it, but wanted to pass on the deal I got.

Aside from the ones I have gotten for free. . .

Benchmade Mini Ambush
Benchmade Monochrome
SS Spyderco Delica

all three, new with no boxes $20 at a pawn shop.

A truly custom Tom Mayo fixed blade for $125. He was good to me. To this day, that is still the most I've ever spent on a knife.

I once traded a rifle (~$500) for 21 year old Toyota truck. My son sold that truck 13 years and a load of miles later when it was 34 years old for $475. Split the $$$ with him.

About two years ago I traded a 50%-60% U.S. Property marked M1911 from December 1913 with a WW1 era barrel (little late for that particular handgun) for which I paid $400 in 2000 (great deal right there) for a Winchester M57, M69, and M04-22 and $850 (better deal there). Wife wasn't too happy when I returned from the gunshow with three more rifles UNTIL I handed her the cash. My son learned a couple of lessons accompanying me that day.

Paid $200 for a brand new MT ultratech limited edition in cts 204p. Great deal there, but a few days later I traded it for a brand new MT Cobra Carbon fiber, that I later sold for $550

Got a spyderco spyderfly for $95, a Benchmade 42 for $265 two years ago, which is a deal considering the prices now. And I missed a spyderco szabofly for $95 too. I also missed a deal for a BM42 for $180 last year

The guy who traded me an Extrema Ratio Fulcrum II for my small Micarta Sebenza did pretty well for himself.
