What's the BEST KNIFE DEAL You Ever Got?

Shrade had some utility scissors for $9.99 plain or $9.95 for the scissors and a small lockback. Gave the scissors to my mom to use in the kitchen, kept the knife. Still have it on my key chain 15 years later.

An Army buddy gave me a Bo Randall Number 1 for saving his life. I still have a lifelong friend and a knife that makes me the envy of my knife nut friends!

Last Christmas Wal-Mart was selling the Buck 110 in a gift tin for about $20.00 dollars--truely an awesome deal!
I bought two of them and I should have bought three.

I also got the same deal at Wal-Mart. My best deal was a small Valor butterfly that has some heavy scratches and worn paint but was completely useable for $1 at a Ma and Pa store 1 mile from my house.

That I paid for: Schrade Uncle Henry Senior Stockman- $8 on special close-out at a Walmart.

Best deal ever: RJ Martin Japanese fixed blade proto- Gratis, won in a drawing.

Back in 1999 I purchased an original Gerber Mark II with an orange handle (made in 1971) in excellent condition for $70.00. It was even from a knife dealer!  I then sold it on eBay last year for over $1200.00. :D :D :D

Microtech Vector + Damascus UTX-70 + some wheeling and dealing= $86 out of my bank account...:p

1- My first Spydie: A Renegade for $29.99 new (internet store) that started the addiction.
2- Almost Free NIB Manix... Well, it was aquired by trading up. Bought two Wayne Goddard Lightweights NIB for $26 ea. (buy-it-now on flea-bay). re-sold em both for $115 on da-bay, which in turn, paid for most of my new Manix (yet to be delivered).

Best deal so far...last month bought a slightly used Benchmade 940BK on eBay for $39!!Just bought a 943 for $97 and find I like the 940 blade better.

My best deal is probably this....a MINT Randall 1-7 for $125, sheath and all..untouched!

Although, I bought 4 Case stockman knives (2 stag 2 bone) from 65-69 in excellent unsharpened shape from the same shop for $80...this was in the last year or so. Dollar wise that may have been a better deal than the Randall even.

Needless to say, I stop by there quite frequently so I don't miss anything.

The benchmade balisongs I bought about a year ago when there were many different models around...Over the corse of about 2 months I bought a Used BM42, a BM42SS, A BM43, and a BM46-01 all of them costing me under $100 each with shipping, I got the pleasure of displaying them, and playign with them for a few months before I needed (Unexpected family medical bills) to sell them, and when it was time to sell them this is what they sold for :

used BM42 bought for $60 shipped - sold for $100
BM42SS bought for $90 shipped - sold for $200
BM43 bought for $80 shipped - sold for $165
BM46-01 bought for $90 shipped - sold for $170

I never ahd any plans on selling them I thoguth I would always own them but you can't complain that I got to own them for a few motnhs and then made money on them...

Besides the Balisongs, I also got a Microtech LCC manual with titanium bolsters for $80 shipped...this was a little over a year ago, I was lucky enough to see the sale post 1st, because if anyone else saw it it would ahve been gone...sometimes you luck out like that...

I woudl like to add that most of my great deals come by trades...I always end up happy when trading! Only cost is shipping, and you get a new knife, or sometimes multiple things!

Red line Benchmade---Free---online retailer had the steel listed as one thing---the knife I got had different steel----when I called and complained they said keep in and credited my account the sale price---Midway USA BTW

Current ---Spydie Endura---they had it closed out at $35---if you signed up for Google check out you got $10 off your purchase---total delivered price including shipping was $33.

Nice! Kind of like the supermarket...When the price scans wrong you get the item for free...The other day I got 2 packs of ground beef for free becasue the sticker was wrong:D ...(Supermarket I use is Mr. Z's, which is owned by Weis) But I believe it is the same for most supermarkets...

I got a Randall Model 10 at a Goodwill store for $1.00. It was not in brand new condition and it didn't have a sheath, but it was a genuine Randall.

I received a gift of a Puma Falknier knife made in 1984 in unused condition with original leather sheath and certificate of authenticity from my buddie.

Add a SOG Paratool for $5.00 to my growing list. The bottle opener is snapped off (think the previous owner loved his beer) but otherwise in near perfect condition.
