What's the cheapest knife that stopped your search for the ideal EDC?

Most expensive were a micarta large Seb and Les George VECP at over $400 each. I probably will not be going anywhere that close anymore as I'd rather buy a firearm or some ammo if I'll spend that much. Quite happy with the $100-$250 range.

Lowest priced knife I can be content with is probably the mini Grip.

I can be content with Byrds and other value lines but the steels fall short of what I want although for the most part relatively speaking everything else like build quality is there.

Favorite up until i traded for a Seb 25 was an FRN Dragonfly 2 PE or Protech TR-3, would still love to get one of the nishin dragonfly 2's but the seb will remain in my pocket the majority of the time.

I still have and use my Gerber eZ out. I remember I only bought it because of USA pride lol. Does everything I ever need a knife to for 26$

I am still on my quest for the perfect EDC knife. I don't think that I will ever find it, because that would mean no new knives

Most valuable Spyderco Bob Lum tanto. No idea of the actual cost. Found it in a car I bought at auction. Recently retired it for a Kershaw compound. Paid 16 buck online.

You should have gone straight to a Casino or baught a lottery ticket that day  Man.. if I didn't have bad luck, I would have no luck :D

Sanrenmu LB-763 EDC Folding Knife 8Cr13MoV, Axis lock & Bottle Opener. I have put this thing through torture (even carved wood for a few hours) and it edge is paper slicing sharp still. Also the Axis lock is just fun to play with! Price paid with shipping. $18 bucks. Most impressive if you ask me.

another vote for Kershaw Skyline best knife in $30 range

it flips like a dream and has superior lock vs Spyderco Delica for example

My most expensive knife is a Kershaw leek. I paid fifty for it. But my most carried knife is a ten dollar craftsman from sears. It works great for what I do

Most I spent on a single knife was $164.00. I'm still always looking, but my Benchmade 940 and CF Sage 1 have given me the most satisfaction of ownership yet. I could get by on any VG10 Spyderco or SAK, but the two above are the new baseline

The most expensive knife I have so far is my ZT 801 or 550 I don't remember which one was more. The least expensive knife I carry is the ESSE Zancudo folder in orange it was sub 30. Perfect EDC to stop the search prolly will never happen.

That's been about 10 years ago. Didn't know what it was till a couple of years ago. It's a little rough but it's not an investment or anything and I prolly won't ever get rid of it anyway.

Skyline did it, but i used it to even a trade so its gone. Right now i don't have anything under a hundred bucks I carry, oh wait my kershaw OD1 i got to replace my skyline, because the opener is so cool. I'm such a knife snob :highly_amused:

The cheapest EDC I have found is the MiniGrip with Wilkins scales. It is an ideal size for me and the Wilkins add a bit more room on the grip. I wouldn't say it has halted the search for other knives though.

I carried a Buck 110 for years and was happy with it. While I now carry much more expensive knives - I cannot think of any cutting operation that old 110 - when it was sharp - wouldn't do just as well.

Stainz

Endura G-10. Considered a good dozen others and tried out (bought and sold) at least 1/2 dozen ranging from $175-$400. None even started to unseat the Endura.

Small sebenza.

was going to look at some customs but then I realized, why?

Some cheaper knives perform great, might look into some spyderco.

I've gotten a few nice knives, couple Queen in d2, mini grip, couple spydercos, nothing over $100 (i'd rather have 4 $50 knives than 1 $200 knife). I honestly bought a cheap winchester folder from wally world for christmas one year and I edc'd that for quite awhile. This was after losing CS Voyager VG10 tanto blade and a couple of Case stockmans back to back. Carried that and rotated with a, back then, $10 Kershaw Crown..those were perfectly fine for me, did everything I needed and kept a somewhat decent edge for awhile. But I just got a Kershaw Cyro and I am thinking about picking up a Spyderco Dragonfly.

Spyderco Southard and ZT0560 at $230ea are the highest (so far)
Spyderco UKPK FFG is always with me
