What's the cheapest knife that stopped your search for the ideal EDC?

The delica has been a staple of my pockets for about four years now, but the $30 Kershaw Injection is giving it a run for its money. Had a small sebenza, sold it.

For something cheap and 100% usefulness, opinel and SAK are IMHO the best value for money for EDC knives if all you need is a cutting solution

The cheapest knife that works best for me is the is the Kershaw skyline . Top 5 edc knife in my list love the spear point tip love the way it flips . Great material for 25 bucks that's what I paid .

Nothing will ever stop the search as far as I'm concerned but a $20 Tenacious has been stealing allot of pocket time since I've got it. Also, can't go wrong with the perennial cheap favorite of the Kershaw Skyline for like $25. Next step up for me would probably be Benchmade 552 at like $50 (love the dagger look).

Other then those I've sold most of my cheap stuff, gonna start focusing more on quality then quantity.

Spyderco Gayle Bradley is the end of the line for my search. Materials and build quality is excellent. Lots of options for the clip and now that it is waved it is the perfect knife for me.

Hinderer XM-18 is the most expensive folder I own.

Buck Alpha Dorado 2006 (dark scales), got it for like $ 50 on my first trip to the US in 2007.
I carried that one around as my single EDC for years, until I learned the Sheeple-politicians here made up a new law that forbid me to carry it :(
I really miss it and fondle it every evening at home :(

Dang. I fell off the wagon. I bought a Spyderco Vallotton a few weeks ago and now I have a Lion Steel SR-2 on the way. Time for me to realise that I'm a knife-nut, and no matter what I buy, there's always room for one more... :D

My favorite edc is my 12 dollar Meyerco Dirk Pinkerton wharnclif .It sits nice in the bottom of my pocket (don't want to scratch a fender with the clip ) and everybody at work thinks its a utility knife .

My Victorinox Trailmaster M3 one hand is the only pocket knife anyone living a regular city life will ever need. But that's completely irrelevant, must...have...another....knife ;)

CS Rajah 2. Cheapest folding knife I own. Hasn't stopped me though.

The most I've ever spent on an EDC knife to date was $155 or so for a Spyderco Chokwe. Gorgeous, but way too obtrusive for discreet everyday carry and use in my office.

In terms of "dedicated one-hand-opening" folders, the least-expensive knife that I've been fully satisfied with is the Ontario RAT 1. A very functional flat-ground AUS-8 blade, 3.5" of length is big enough to do real work with but just small enough to not freak people out, good ergos, easily pocket carried (not too heavy, thick, bulky, etc), and all this for $28?!

However, no matter what "primary" blade I may carry on any given day, my trusty Vic Cadet ($20) has been my constant companion for the past three years. If the chips were down and I had to jettison all but one of my knives, the Cadet would be a very strong candidate to keep.

Nevertheless, I've yet to find a knife that stopped me from seeking "the next best thing" (currently a Benchmade 930 Kulgera) or my ultimate unicorn (Spyderco Kopa with the stacked wood scales).

KA-BAR Dozier Lightweight, $20.

+1 Ka-bar Dozier for me too... The pink handled one. I bought it as a bit of a gag 5 years ago and it's been with me through more than any other folder I have. Even got me out of handcuffs once

21 Sebenza, was my most expensive, I owned and carried Opinels before it, and still carry them afterward. In fact I'm more likely to have my SAK or Opinel in my pocket, than my Sebenza. I'm on a traditional kick now, having some handmade slipjoints made, and own several GECs, none of them have, or will kick the Opinel, or SAK out of my pocket for good. The Opinel, and SAK, (my favorite is the Recruit model), are hard to beat regardless of price.

When it comes to a folder my most carried is a spyderco dragonfly I've had for well over 12 years now. It was the first decent knife I ever bought and the one I'll never part with. Although I have many others to choose from these days the dragonfly fnds it's way in my pocket often.
