What's the matter with SOG?

A lack of response from SOG in their forum or here seems sufficient. It doesn't seem like a large leap to know that they've made a blatant knock off of the Endura at least.

In common law, silence is a tacit admission of guilt.

Haven't seen any of Spyderco's reps on here either. None of us know anything besides what we can infer from the pictures. The only people who do know anything haven't entered into these discussions from either SOG or Spyderco and/or Benchmade.

You do realize that its the weekend. Some people have lives outside the internet (as I type furiously;)). I know that's hard to believe. :D

I like that low-rider pocket clip though.

Honestly, their pocket clip is the only thing I like about SOG these days. I was thinking about getting an Aegis, but I'm not sure I want to support a company that, accidentally or not (I like giving people the benefit of the doubt), draws heavily from others.

Gotta hear the charges first before you can refuse to reply.

Welllllllll, If you are representing yourself as your flesh and blood self and not the corporation that can be enjoined to yourself... Then you have the option of asking the judge for proof of claim/controversy.

:D

Admiralty Law is a trip!

PM me...

Come to Fresno... You'll get to see the collection, have BBQ tri-tip, and some bourbon with a Romeo y Julieta + party favors.

Spyderco may not say anything public about it regardless. Besides, they have the "afi" knife community defending them as it is. I might retract my accusation if Sal or Benchmade specifically say that it clearly isn't a knock off. But the similarities are so close, that you really have to be naive to not immediately see a good possibility that this is design stealing.

Question, would you take the same stance had that exact model was being sold at a flee market and was made by a no-name company in China?

Thanks for the invite CM. In my younger days I'd have been there in a heart-beat. We could've talked mortars. :D

As a reminder spyderco still makes the Military, Civilian, and police in the 4+" range. The police g10 is a serious piece at 4.5" of blade and a grippy pocketable handle.
