What's the sharpest knife you ever owned?

The sharpest edge I've gotten on a knife to date was on a Blind Horse LG. Tiger Knapp 17 degree main bevel and 30 degree micro bevel.

I once had a Kershaw Blur that was so sharp that I was almost afraid to open it.

I haven't been a collector that long, but a recent spyderco military i bought was extremely sharp out of the box. About 3mm of the tip of my thumb was missing for about a month to prove it, lol.

My Kirby Lambert Orion MGT custom is my sharpest. It blows away any production knife in my collection. Out of my production knives,....maybe my Spyderco Paramilitary 2 is the sharpest.

The round knife I use for cutting leather holds a razor sharp edge and is alarmingly sharp. It came with a great edge and with a little more honing and some stropping, it can split hairs.

Sharpest out the box would have to be my Ti/sg2 kershaw junkyard dog. The blade is sooo thin, its a real slicer. Just bought it recently from a forum member, unused blem.

+1 for Richard J! I havent had any other knife that could split a moustache hair in half other than one of my Duas that Richard sharpened. Also every Alan Davis knife I own has come very sharp!!

custom Emerson CQC-5, Horton Shawty folder, my Graham folder (Jon knows how to grind them thin), Pohan Leu small tanto, any of my Nick Rossi zero chisel ground knives and any of my Southards....
all of these are insanely sharp....my Krein Regrind Emerson Persian was perhaps the most terrifyingly sharp knife, that thing could cut you just by looking at it.

The factory edge that came through on my Helle Taiga made the hair on the back of my neck stand up! I was expecting a nice, keen edge when I ordered it, but nothing close to what I actually got. Impressive, for sure!
i've got to handle that thing like it's a loaded firearm.

Every knife that comes from Jeremy Horton is sharp. Never have other knife sharper than his stuff.

The sharpest out of the box edges I've had are probably my RJ Martin Overkill, a one off production Hinderer XM-18, and a Jim Burke flipper. My current sharpest knives are a BM 710 in CPM M4 and a Busse SARsquatch. The SARsquatch splits atoms when I pull it out of it's sheath.

The PE blade in my LM TI Charge was and still is the sharpest knife edge I have ever encountered out of the box... It scares me to this day...

Anotehr +1 to richard J

Send him your knife - any knife - and it will come back to you like a surgical tool.
