What's your favourite knife/knives in 5"-7" range?

Yes i know, thanks, i actually appreciate the correction because sometimes i get my knowledge and terms mixed up :D i am still new to the discovery & knowledge of busse&kin.

Also, how do you, or can i know what is and is not available to the custom shop? I just thought all models were available if you were willing to compromise with the expense & time it takes.

If the CS were open, you'd call/email and ask if they have blanks for a given blade at that time. In some cases the answer will be 'No', so if you want them to do one of those for you, you'd need to find it in the secondary market and then ship it to the CS.

That may be true, but if it is, it's news to me. I always thought the custom shop would only customize knives for you that are presently available on the website. So, say, you want a Ratmandu (which I think are still available on the Swamp Rat store). You contact SRKW and tell them you want a Ratmandu, but you want it in satin, full flat grind, with red/black G10. They send you a detail price, and you tell them yes, or maybe want to delete something (G10 breaks your budget). Send that back with exactly what you do want, and call them up to provide payment Information. At least that is the way it worked with my Rodent 6 (slightly customized). But, it never occurred to me to even ask if I could get a custom version of something no longer on the website.

Good information to know! Now, if the custom shop will ever reopen!

Yeah i think either way, it may be a while before the CS re-opens :(
But who knows!

Yep, it all depends on if they have a blank for the blade you want to use as a starting point. Some it is a great big NO but some older blades you can get from time to time.

Sweet, thanks Andy. Once they open, it seems worthwhile to at least try for one.

I think if/when CS ever reopens, it'll probably close right back up lol with all the new patrons trying to customize stuff fr9m exchange and O2W lol

More Hellrazor love from me...

I have tried to carry a smaller medium but I just can't make myself stick with one. The TG-M, the Trash1, Jackmandu, RMD, and the SOB just cannot beat out carrying my TGLB. The BG Boss Jack I have coming might skew the before mentioned, but I feel that it will be unlikely.

The tglb looks awesome but a bit big for my liking...but each to their own.
I personally like medium size knives just under 7 but over 5"

Id make an exception for a crusader though, they are my favourite of all designs

Sounds like an Ratmandu or Infidu is right up your alley.
My advice, but one off the site while you can, it's so much knife for the money.
The edge may come more obtuse than you'd like, but a quick reprofile and you have 90% the performance of INFI at less than half the price.

Thanks rcb, i actually have a rmd coming in with ozgooner :)
Already trying to decide what to aim for next haha..whoops..

Only problem is i do not know how to sharpen properly. So i'll have to deal with obtuse edge or I am thinking of grabbing a worksharp & try learn from there.
