Think it's time to break out of my shell and share my most recent Schrade. It's a Schrade Walden 855. Neat little stockman knife. It's 3 5/16" long. The blade edges are different from most of my others. It has a clip, spey and pen blade. The etch of the razor blade on the clip blade is still visible. The shield says "stainless" on it. Any one have any info on these. Haven't been able to find much about them... Thanks... Matt

One of my neater ones lately. I've seen the orange handles on the 152OT and I believe the 15OT, and also on the Water Rat (WRO) Dive knife, but haven't seen it on this pattern. Tang stamps say "Heritage/SCHRADE+/USA" and "H0194". It has the "OLD TIMER" shield.

Dave,

That's a beauty.

I've got a few new ones. Just can't seem to make myself take pictures after the old computer died and lost all the ones I had.

The 855RB is listed as a 3-1/4" stockman pattern; clip, spey blades & pen blades; nickel silver bolsters & shield; RB suffix for Razor Blade Stainless.
I see it first listed in 1964 and last listed in 1979, when the MSRP was $13.50.
In 1977 through 1979 it is pictured in the Line catalog as having a Clip, sheepfoot & spey blades. Apparently they changed the pattern in the later years as the one example I have is a Schrade (not Schrade-Walden) and it has the sheepfoot blade. NOTE: the RB is part of Schrade's numbering system, but I have yet to see an example where the RB was included with the number on the tang Stamp.

The 855RB was part of the Razor Blade Stainless series of knives, which later included the Sampler Knives and even one fixed blade, the 147RB with a Staglon handle.

I hope this helps,
Dale

Here’s three of the latest. Nothing special a couple variations of the Schrade-Walden 147-L and a S-W 141-L Craftsman.

Nice find Joel!

I can't say I have ever seen one that still had the blade etch, let alone with the stamped sheath.
Ya' done good!

Well, only the middle knife is a "latest" Schrade, but I thought it would be good to do a comparison picture. The 2202 on the left was a desirable knife with its fancy bolsters, and nicely finished construction. The catalog lists it in Ebony in 1926. The grain is correct, but the wood is a bit more reddish on this one, than most Ebonies I have seen; maybe a different variety.
Next is the 2203 3/4, which is a new purchase from ebay for me. Nice clip blade, and jigged bone handles, in a jigging pattern I have come to think of as "basketweave", the fourth distinct jig pattern I've been able to differentiate on the vintage Schrades.
And finally, a more well known 2OT. Enjoy!

Charlie, I don't think it's quite fair for guys like you and Larry to hoard mutliple BEAUTIFUL examples of essentially the same knives. I think you should share. Please PM me for my mailing address!:D

My two most recent that I haven't posted here.

An Ulster stockman, and a sterling Press Button Knife Co.

Picked up a nice little Schrade 808 at the flea market this past weekend. A clip, pen, and sheepsfoot, all in great shape. Some minor staining on the blades. I don't believe the pen and sheepsfoot have been sharpened. Pretty clean looking. Dale H.

Just got this in! Schrade 261SC Folding Hunter, one of the earliest Schrade Scrimshaw patterns.

Liberty and Justice on the front and a Scrim of the Mayflower on the back.
