Nice find Russell! Really cool look to that sheath:thumbup:

Fran, the Ulster is a beauty but that Press Button reminds me of Old Man Winter, take it away!:D:D

Thanks to a tip from Dave, I got the last of the four 503SC trout scrimshaws.

And a couple of Barlows. An Ulster 10OT, nice user with razor sharp blades, and it came with a shell handled Colonial. The Colonial is equipped with a keychain sheath. I felt such an artifact needed to be posted, even though Colonial not a a true family member. :D

:p Dang it Hal I don't like you :D I want to have a full set of them trout knives!!

Very well done my friend! thanks for showing them all at one time.

Glad to see you got the set on the Scrimshaw 503sc's thawk. I do like the sheath idea for the Colonial Barlow!

Here's a knife I picked up on a $20 "buy it now" looked rough in the pictures, thought I'd take a chance, the blade is full, just afew minor scuffs here and there, cleaned it up a bit. This is the first 51OT I've bought, always eluded me because of the high prices they seem to command.

Nice snag on that 51OT, Russell! I like those knives. It's a sizeable piece of hardware, that's for sure, and looks in great shape. I'd say your "chance" paid off.

I love the sweet Buy-it-now's that pop up every so often. Yesterday I grabbed a 125OT that looked almost new and unsharpened, with sheath, for $10.00. And last week, I got a package deal for 167UH filet and a 165UH, both with sheaths, both USA made, and both likely never used, for $49.00 together. Keep an eye out, and you'll come across something nice once in a while. But you gotta be quick to pull the trigger before someone else finds it!

Hal,
That set of trouts looks great! Now I know there's one less buyer out there to compete with to complete my collection of them!

Just got these two 77OT Muskrats at the end of December; my latest Schrade acquisitions.

Hang on guys, I think maybe the 1991 503SC might just be a fly fisherman playing a trout. The chase is not over unless it's a bass.

Anyone got that knife for a better view?

On the bright side, Hal, whille your hunt is not over yet, I've seen that knife on ebay more than a couple times. YOu should be able to add it soon.

Dave

Crammed through my mail slot today, this knife was inadvertently sent to the wrong address:eek:! Fortunately, both addresses are mine:D!

This is one of those knives that appeared on an on-line store, and I happened to browse it a few minutes later!

Four inches of slim stockman, bearing all the goodness of Schrade!

Except for the blade rubs, the scratches and lines are on my poor abused scanner, not the knife.

Yup, nickel-silver, Shawn. The only brass is in the handle pins and spring pin.

Sound like you picked up some good deals yourself there! Your right about being quick on the uptake, some will snap your hands right off, right in front of your eyes.

You all sure are gathering some mighty fine knives. Excellent showing. Keep it up.

And, finally got one!

Rusty I just picked up my first 51ot 6 months ago or so. And until I held one I had no Idea how darn big these things are. I mean when you read a description and it gives length and such thats one thing but to hold one of these monsters in your hand is another. I wish I could afford another one for a user. Everyone great looking blades!!!!

A Van Camp and a Craftsman with a monster swedge.

Likely Ulster made. both are delrin.

All bought in a two hour period, all BIN for $14.95 a piece. I could not hit the button fast enough, but won 8 out off 11 the unknowing seller changed from auction to BIN.
