Beautiful finds Russell! That 880 is a fantastic looker:thumbup::thumbup: Did you snag them at the show?

Eric

Thanks for the comments Brady, Dale and Eric.

Eric, they were both e-bay purchases. didn't get anything at the show at all.

Russell

Here is an old 881Y I picked up the other day.
Despite the patina, rust and pocket wear, the blades are pretty full.

I like this old carbon steel! :D

Schrade SCM5 - A Schrade custom series. Same knife frame as an LB5. Made from 1983 through 1985. Sabre ground blade.

Not sure of the type of wood used on the handles.

The wood is shown a little better in this shot.

A curious document from the box. I have not seen a hallmark on a Schrade knife, except on an IXL, and they are different. None found on this knife. I'm not sure if that paper was original in the box or not.

Nice one, Hal! Those are really nice knives!

It's been a while since I've posted anything, so here are some I've gotten recently.

3 variations of the 194OT: a Craftsman, a blank SC503, and an H194.

A nice little Greenwing 3OT it's own embossed sheath.
Knives4008.jpg

A nice little SCC Jack.

Several more:

33OT with smooth black handles and oval shield.
Knives4047.jpg

An orange SC505. I've seen these with the Florida Gator scrim artwork on them, but not blank.

On a whim, I picked up these little SP1s at a gun show. At 3 for $10, I couldn't pass up a real Schrade!:D

Last two are a bit older.

Snagged this SCC fishtail auto (spring is broken) on a buy-it-now.

Same with this little Geo Schrade pullball. $18 BIN, and it included a depression glass ashtray. By the way, for anybody that knows anything about these knives, this one springs open very quickly (spring is still STRONG) to the half open position, but then I have to push it from there. Is that the way these are supposed to work, or should it spring open all the way? If it is, I'm guessing working a little oil in there will help?

Brady, yeah, that black 33OT just sucked me right in as soon as I saw it. I've never seen another one, although there must be more out there. Decided I had to have it.

The slick black 33OT is also a 233B, a $51.00 one.

I have two of the 834B. Might have been an SFO. They are an 80's knife that came in a woodgrain box, after they quit using the clear tubes.

Thanks, Hal. I saw that 233B and was tempted, but it went way beyond what I paid for the 33OT. One reason may have been because mine didn't have a box. I also didn't realize they were the same size knife.

yea thanks also hal --learned something today as usual when i visit here! also had to add a new seller to my watch list, THANKS ALOT HAL!!!---------------brady

like dave said "i had to have it" .

Thawk,

I have an LB-5DM, Damascus LTD done by Schrade that has the HALLMARK Stamp as well. This knife was manufactured in 1986.

Tom

Heck! nothing happens here all week, then we see a whole lot all in one go. There are some nice knives posted today.

Russell

Brady,

I can't post the pics, therefore I sent THawk an email and asked if he wanted a picture. I'm not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination, however, I have 6 photos ready to go

Tom

THawk,

I believe that the wood covers on your Schrade Custom Made SCM-5 are called Rosewood. I have the big brother to your knife which is the SCM-7 (LB7 Frame) 5" closed.

Tom

PS: I have a spare Schrade Custom Leaflet for that particular knife if you want it. Shoot me an email with your mailing address and I'll put it in the mail Monday!
