What a coincidence, I won an 804 and a Wallkill River Works knife off that same seller last year, he's only twenty minutes from my house so I drove out to get them. Kind of an antique dealer, I wonder where he finds these knives. I had asked if they were from a personal collection, but he simply replied that they came from a customer. He doesn't list many knives, but when he does they sure are unique! Very interesting combination, and you can't beat the proof of it's age;):D:D

Here's a question; did Tiffany contract the entire package from Schrade, or did they just have the blades made by Schrade, and the shell made elsewhere? I've heard both possibilities put forward, but never a definite answer. There are gold plated cigar cutter knives out there that are similarly built. I've seen identical shells, but with three or four makers' blades installed in them. One was Schrade Cut., the other was Ulster, and I believe another was Empire.

George,

For $20, that was a steal.

Nice find.

It's been some time ago now, but with the exception of two small folders, this was my last. Guess that makes it not really my last. Whatever! Here are the pics.

Nice low number on that one Bridgeman, congrats!:thumbup:

I picked this Hoffritz Jack up recently on Ebay. The blades are quite full, but suffer from PDD (post dremel disorder)!!
Fortunately, not too deeply gouged. My guess is, it was made by our beloved Schrade Cutlery Company; anyone agree?

I'll second that! VERY nice Charlie, first Hoffritz example I've seen. (I think you beat me by twenty minutes on that one LOL!).

Here are three I picked up recently:

ovb.jpg

Schrade Walden NY OVB Pen - Marine Pearl (faux) A real mini at 2 1/2" and the 53Y makes me think Ulster???
Cute swedge on the secondary.

IXL-stock.jpg

Schrade IXL Wostenholm - Green Bone 4" Stockman A real solid knife.

Schrade Walden 285UH - Serial number 00576 I think this has carbon blades, but not sure. No blades are marked stainless.
Pattern number stamped on pile side. Older hinged gift box.

I was pleased to win this trapper. The picture showed the blades really bad, when they are actually in great shape.

another nice example of eye catching Schrade bone Charlie!

Great finds thawk! I'm liking all three, real nice find on the SW 225UH. Have you ever seen an 885UH with SW tang stamp?

Russell.

I've seen a few of the 885UH Schrade Walden knives Rusty, and let one NIB get away one time that still burns me. Still need one of those in the hinged box. They are not getting any cheaper.;)

This S.C.C. sheepfoot Barlow lived in Washington State for a while. Now it hangs out with me for a bit, starting today. Has anyone else found it hard to buy, or even see, Sheepfoot Barlows from Schrade??
The Office knives met the Barlow at the P.O, saving me a trip! The seller of the Schrade Walden said he bought it from Jim Parker after Schrade closed, and it is purported to be "off the wall". That can be taken many ways!! :D

I hope you guys don't mind me trying to join the club. I got this 897 a week and a half ago and just got the chance today to take a picture. It has a few spots on the backsprings and inside, but I really liked the staglon on this one. It also has a serial number of 73952 on the liner. Does anyone know what that is for?

That one does have great staglon. The serial number was used on the replacement warranty.

Excellent finds Hal and Charlie! That 285 package is incredible!

Charlie, I've seen very few sheepfoot barlows from SCC, most have a clip or spear. Didn't you snag one off A.G. as well? Or was that an Ulster?

Aggiebuilder, welcome!! The more the merrier! That is a nice find, and it's in great shape.
