Good eye, fatcity.
I'm still hanging on to the idea that the small blade is a type of punch blade that I've seen on other knives. Mainly because of the blade's sharp point and contour. It has not been "sharpened" into that shape. It was made that way at the factory. The blade is full, taking into consideration there is still plenty of 'hook' at the base of the edge and it has a nearly straight spine with little if any radius to the point like pen blades. Now I just have to prove it somehow. :D

None of those blades are full, the knife was definitely used. The tangs might seem full but the tips and bellies are sharpened down on all of the blades, especially the pen and spey blades. Just look at the scratches on the "before" photos for proof. What you have there is a nicely used pen blade, the factory never made a punch that looked like that.

Here is my latest. It's a C628 from the 3rd Gen Collection. I owe it to Mr. Tom Chase for helping complete the collection. He also sent me a few surprises. Thanks Tom! Going to have to see your collection one day.

Just finished off my collection. I had the winning bid on a 3rd Gen Display Case on the good old Bay. Pictures to come once I get it put together as a set.

Jamie,

I am looking forward to seeing the entire set brought together...meaning post pictures...lol
Now that you have all but finished this set....what is on the horizon for you...what's the next project?

Tom

just got this one. a low number LB 7 which is my favorite knife. Serial number 1976. was wondering it is coming with a display that says for display only. was this normal for the early knives to have a display that was not for sale?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I would say you made quite a find. Congratulations.

If it weren't for sale I wonder how long that lasted? I've seen a couple of these for sale. Good to see that low number.
