just got this one. a low number LB 7 which is my favorite knife. Serial number 1976. was wondering it is coming with a display that says for display only. was this normal for the early knives to have a display that was not for sale?

WOW! I like it! 1976 is a COOL number to have.

It needs some work. The pricing sticker is coming off of the display & the top of the display case is coming apart. What do you recommend?

I've got one with sn 4?,???. I still wonder if it was actually the original knife that was in the display from the factory.
Nice find with that low number.

I have played this same game time after time. It can sometimes take a wile to finish your hunt.
However, the day you find the last knife - you will find, all your hard work is worth the hunt.

Well my quest for a true whittler with peachseed bone, or bone stag covers, (86633 3/4 I think) has been slow going but not without some rewards along the way. Here's a real nice 837 I picked while searching for my current grail, enjoy and let me know if ya got what I've been hunting! :thumbup:

Thanks. Unpictured for the 93' set is the original plexiglas still covered in the green plastic for scratch protection.

Although I've had a few Schrades join my collection before this one, this is my latest. It's in pretty dang-good shape and a knife that I've considered me Grail for a wee bit. My only gripe with it is the cracked corner of the box cover, you can see it in that one pic. All in all I'm liking this addition, it's a huge knife too!
