This post was a reply to delmas2nd's questions on the Lake & Walker knives.

Schrade sold the SLW1, with the BG42 blade, back in 2000.
All SLW1s were numbered from 0001 to 0500 for the First Run and then 0501 t0 1000.
All SLW1 blades were non-serrated, and were not stamped U.S.A. like all the SLW2 stainless blades.

The SLW2 were first sold with a serrated bladed in 2001. [RRP $40]
Later in 2003 the SLW2 was sold with the non-serrated blade.[RRP $40]
I have been told the SLW2 knives were sold for half their RRP in the last two years of Schrade... Ken

Latest Schrade acquisition and I'm thrilled with it!
Serpentine frame, rounded bolsters, a sleek clip blade and a useful sheepfoot, all combine to make this a near perfect pocket knife.

If they would have made a 93ot the size of the 61ot that would have just about been my perfect knife.

That's a nice specimen, I try to buy them on the bay when they are reasonable.

Picked/Rescued this at the flea market this morning. Full of rock hard lint and gunk. Seller tossed it in with a small craftsman socket set I bought.

Guess I'll move this one into my daily carry rotation.

Nice find. Those 1966 Buck 301s are very hard to find.
This is one of my Bucks, made by Schrade. Schrade made 3 of the early 301s... Ken

These 301s were all made by Schrade between 1966 and 1973.

Dave,

That knife is gorgeous! What a great piece, I'd love to have one like that in my collection......know where I can find one?
Beautiful!

Tom

Thanks , this is my first schrade fixed blade. I really like vintage knives that are ex+ to mint. They are hard to find which makes looking for them so much fun.

Tales from the crypt Back in 2004 when I first heard Old Timer was Closing I ran down to my Local Wal-Mart and bought the last OT they had. I put it up and it set in a drawer the past 14 years. I got it out in the Fall when I gathered them all up to put in my Tackle box.

Here she is my 34OT

3 9/16" 98OT Ramrod

Saddlebum, that is a good photo of an A1 knife.
Schrade started on this one with Blue Bone handle, around 2003-2004.
I do not think many of them were made, and less were finished with the etch. Ken.
