  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What's your newest Buck knife

Last year I gifted my dad a S45VN buck 110 for his birthday. He thought it was beautiful but found it fairly hard to operate (he's still regaining his strength after some health issues). Saw the new releases for the year and got him a 265 Decatur, he absolutely loves it! Extremely easy to use, you can flick it open very quickly, and very fiddle-prone. His go-to letter and package opener.
I had ordered the wood version but thought I received the G10 by mistake, the wood is very dark unlike the store photos, almost black. Well worth the ultra low price.

Buck 256, not 265 right? I havent had the chance to play with these imports yet. I may as time goes on.....

glad to hear your father is liking it.

I was considering your custom bone handle for a bit while it was on the bay. Glad to see it found a good home. Look forward to seeing the finished product.

Thanks for sharing along the way pics. Something about getting to watch the transformation is quite enjoyable.

GPyro,
Was the 105/5160 a Copper & Clad edition such as the 124/5160?

First 105 or any of the smaller 100 series I have purchased. Great knife. The nine year old has plans on it becoming hers in a few years.
