I went to the mailbox this morning and found my newest 112. It's the Marbled Carbon fiber LE in S30V. I bought it because it can be taken apart and it will go in the new display I'm planning for the Blade Show this year..No pictures yet as I gotta open it late tonight..

Here's one I got in the mail recently.



I had a Vantage Pro S30V that I tried out for my EDC rotation, and it was a nice knife, we just didn't click. I ended up selling it. I wanted to try a 722 or 830 in the rotation, but they both have aluminum (bleechh!) scales, and the 830 is discontinued. So I ordered a 722 with G10 scales, and I'm really liking it so far. It doesn't show up in the photos, but it's got a blue backspacer that really sets off the gray scales.

I really wish Buck would offer G10, micarta or even FRN as an option on the knives they currently offer only in aluminum. Ordering this knife with "custom" G10 scales added quite a bit to the cost - but when compared to the cost of aftermarket scales, I figured it was worth it. And so far, I'm glad I did.
