What's your newest Buck knife

Received a 110 slim pro trx in the mail today. Getting sent back. There are some pretty deep scratches going from the base of the blade to the thumb studs on one side. Also the blade has quite a bit of side to side play. I went to tighten the pivot and with a t6 and to my surprise it moved very easily…..does buck not use any type of thread locker? It’s getting swapped out with a duplicate in a few days. Hope it’s better.

I also got the Walmart 110 LT….it’s $19.99 so not expensive but has side to side and more importantly up and down blade play. I ordered a slim select 110 from DLT and asked that they check it for blade play. They emailed me back saying every one they have had blade play. So I canceled the order. I have 5 different classic 110s and all are rock solid. Obviously the materials used makes a difference but at the same time I have other lockback knives made of the same handle materials as the LT and slim select and they don’t have blade play issues at all.

Not gonna lie but it’s disappointing coming from buck. The 110 slim pro trx replacement arrives tomorrow. Not holding my breath that it’s any better than the last.

I have had three 112 Slim Selects and one Pro, all of them had no blade play. On the other hand, all of the LTs that I've handled had some play, especially the 112s.

The replacement 110 slim pro trx arrived today. Happy to say zero side to side or up and down blade play. It’s a keeper. It’s still very stiff opening and closing though so I’ll let it sit for a few days with the blade halfway deployed and see if that loosens it up some.

But if I need a backup I tossed this 286 in the cart too!! The handle looks almost completely black with very little texture. The pic on Bucks website looks different from mine. I wish I had bought a few more because it is a very good looking 286. Be sure to check it out if you place a order!20230117_145006.jpg20230117_145031.jpg
