Completes my trio with the 636 which gets a ton of use in my kitchen to break down chickens or other proteins.

The 636 was bought as a camp food prep knife, but as noted, is a kitchen favorite of mine. The 631 seems like a perfect all around camp knife. Not sure what I'll use the little 635 for... It might just end up in my tackle box.

I think if Buck ever did the 631 with full micarta scales, it could be my favorite Buck fixed blade.

Picked up another ‘66 Stockman, the original 301 pattern. Don’t let me grab them all fellas, these are too good not to have one (or nine) in your collection! Why: long pull, long shield, awesome bolsters, slightly sunken black scales, brass frame, stronger two spring than the ‘00 date Bucks with three springs. Woohooo. Negatives: swinden key construction, no edge2000, 440a. Still worth it to have the original.

Although not a knife, this is my newest Buck. I found it at the local knife shop and had never seen one before, so for $13 I couldn't pass it up. The box is marked 97017-B EDGE TEK HONING STONE CAT. 10094 02/22/2022 MADE IN USA.

It's a soft white Arkansas stone, which I would normally think would be used with oil. However, I can't imagine using oil on a stone that is carried in a belt sheath! So, water perhaps? 🤔 Kind of a cool find as far as I'm concerned. Nothing like it currently on the Buck website.

How do you carry this kit? I have the same kit and carrying it has been the biggest puzzle for me ... So far, I either disassemble the kit and carry each knife individually or I strap the kit to the backpack, but I've yet to come up with cary option that makes the kit readily accessible.
I remembered your post when I got this, but couldn't figure out an easy solution either.

It was never really my plan to carry these, and I bought it for the larger 631, but opted for both with a good sale price. They'll probably just end up going in different bags depending on what I'm doing.

I also thought about using that center piece to make a new kit with the 631 and the processor to use as sort of a camp cooking kit, but that processor sheath doesn't fit with it.
