Wheeler Fighting Bowie Project :) ( UPDATED CUTTING & FORGING VIDEOS)

Joe, not that I know a lot about bows and bow hunting, but that one is a beauty - and it seems you're demonstrating some serious skills there. Thank you for the rather exciting video. Mike

Damn, that's some slick work with the bow!!!

I'm really impressed that your wife would stand there and hold the camera for you like that. ;)

Now about that house... You might want to leave that dump out of the shot next time if you wanna keep your videos classy...

;) :D

Paul is a well oiled machine...  :) I wish I could spend more time around him...Well, mostly just cuz he's a fantastic person.... but also in hope that maybe some of that crazy amazing proficiency would rub off. Just a little of that would go a loooooooong way. (no pun intended...really :o).

Thank you guys!!!!! :) :) :)

Thank you guys!!!!! :) :) :)

I've been trying to get my old lady to stand on that end of the arrow for along time :)

I promised her I would not miss :)

What about the BF William Tell recreation on the next video?

Very nice shooting Joe, skeet next?

Thanks but I just got lucky :)

I used to do a lot of sporting clays with a shotgun

Seems like a different life now

Are 3 D archery season is starting so I am trying to get some time in

I did not pick up a bow since are archery season closed

Than about a month ago Border archery of Scotland sent me a very special Custom Recurve

It was a prototype of their newest design and it is incredible

I have been shooting it and I love it

I did a 4 part video release for them and it really went over well

For those that are interested I based the trailer off the one I did for Jason's Combat piece

At the time these videos were made it was the only one like it on the planet so it was a very big deal in the recurve archery world

I think you, Paul and Joe (especially Joe) are well oiled machines. These projects always turn out so well and benefits everyone involved, even the community.

Some great videos there, Joe. I've never been a really big fan of the ILF style risers, but that really is a nice looking bow. And the curve on those tips is incredible. I was betting in the earlier videos that it felt less than the actual draw weight. And 210 fps is really hauling-that's some serious kinetic energy when it's a 500+ grain arrow.

I built my own laminated R/D longbow and failed the next time around with a semi-severe "all grass" recurve (bamboo back and belly with some really dense, nice Black Palm for the riser). I didn't make the bamboo thin enough to make the curve I wanted when I clamped it all up. I do have plans for another attempt at some point between all the other projects... :). Now I want to see a hunting video of you with some more amazing shooting along with some sweet custom knife chopping and skinning .

Thank you Kevin that means a lot coming from you and I feel I can speak for all of us when I say We really really appreciate the kind words

We are very fortunate to be able to put these kind of knives in people's hands thru these projects

These projects have created some very impressive pieces that are setting a benchmark in high performance cutlery

But the people that take part in these projects are the ones that make it all possible

Thank you guys and I mean that from the bottom of my heart

Thanks Jeremy

The Covert Hunter really is a mind blowing recurve

I love all bows and would love if you would post yours up

Would love to get some hunting footage and only wish if would of had a GoPro 20 years ago :)

There are too many photos of examples of really great craftsmanship for me to clutter this thread with my meager attempts ;). I'll shoot you an email later for your perusing. Again, thanks for posting these projects and getting them going. I love getting to follow along .

Jeremy

WOW--nice shooting, buddy! Beautiful bows and you have a beautiful home--hadn't seen the wall of whitetails before.

Thanks Will

Of all trophies I value a good wall of bow shot whitetails above all

Only thing that comes close is mountain sheep :)
