Wheeler Fighting Bowie Project :) ( UPDATED CUTTING & FORGING VIDEOS)

Thanks Joe, for this opportunity. I'm surrounded by Giants. :)

Every aspect is incredible on this combination. What I didn't show enough of is the thickness and mass of the blade. Look at the detail shot to see more.

It's (insert four letter based adjective) substantial. ;)

Me: I LOVE the grain and pattern of the Micarta handle. It's got beauty power and longetivity in spades.

If this knife was a car, it would be this one:

What a superior Fighter! That Long sheath really completes the package and those exemplary Coop pictures just ooze the seriousness of this blade. :)

Thanks to all for this most impressive piece, well worth the wait.

And Joe, can ya hook a Brother up with another drawer pull?!? ;)

Well guys here we go :)

I asked Jim to keep the photo dark

I asked Jim to emphasize the belly of this beast

I asked Jim to highlight this blades radical dimensions

As usual Jim does not disappoint :)

Jim forgive me if I posted up wrong size

Jim's work clearly displays the proportions that make this blade so,etching quite different

In a world full of show Bowies ............ This one is all GO :)

Thank you Nick

Thank you Paul

Thank you Jim

That's a beautiful blade. Bravo!

Lets bump this pic to this page for all to see...

Dudley

I have one for you also :)

Excellent all around!! Joe, Nick, Paul and Coop well done. I am getting very excited.

(By the way, that's intended to be a Camaro SS ZL1 ;))

Joe doesn't like Camaros, Paul doesn't do static sheath holes, and I'm not a fan of black backgrounds....

...See what happens when you step out the box. :D

Coop

I do like Camaros :)

I had one for many years and loved it

Damn I need to get me a Wheeler bowie one of these days. Love the collaboration Joe and Nick, great work!

One of these is mine! I stepped out of the mold, and have a cocobolo handle going on mine though. Nick should get the cocobolo block by the end of next week.

Perfect knife to me and great stuff from all involved. I was on the fence about which knife to do next but this has me pumped up to do a fighter!

PS: Of course this in no way suggest anything close to this.:o

Pat do not underestimate yourself :)

Stick to some simple principals

IMHO a blade with a sharpened clip is better than a dagger

Make sure your blade exhibits Distal taper

If your blade is the same thickness at the guard and at the start of the clip you can do better

Give it a guard but not to much guard

Notice how this piece has a smaller top guard

Give it a handle that facilitates snap cuts and has some hips so it wedges in the hand

And most important a carry friendly sheath that access quickly but is secure

Than mix in your artistic wonderfulness and Bingo :)

Super Sexy blade & sheath combo!!

I'm not a Camaro man... I'll think it (when mine is done) more if an AC Cobra or Shelby GT500 Mustang! All are b@d@ss!!

Great job on blade, sheath & pics all!!

Extraordinary work by Mr. Long and Mr. Cooper... :) It's a funny thing, I have come to expect to be blown away every time I see the handy-work of you two. :)

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they can even make my stuff look good.

Jim- I love that car... that's a huge compliment to me that the knife struck you in that way. :D

Camaro SS ZL1, Shelby GT500 Mustang, Hemi Hellcat Challenger, Porsche 911 GT2 Rs.... I love 'em all... so if this knife invokes in you, even a tiny fraction of what those cars do for me... then I'm happy! ;) :D

Thanks guys! :)

Outstanding Fighter as is the image, That background showcases both Knife and Sheath perfectly.:thumbup::thumbup:
I hadn't really noticed until seeing the Coop photo, but it looks very similar to the Jason Knight Founder's Bowie.

Similar dimensions for sure kevin

These dimensions really bring out the best in this type of piece

I too like the black back ground
