Wheeler Fighting Bowie Project :) ( UPDATED CUTTING & FORGING VIDEOS)

hey, that's rad!!!

ps. I'm sure your ole lady told ya this already, Joe, but that fu manchu...well, I hope it was a Movember grow :D

Its long gone and was the only part of my beard that was not grey :)

I just need Pats glasses :)

I think Van Barnett should make a steampunk version of those glasses. I'd kill for a pair. Not literally :)

Nick

My old lady said how cute you were again :)

Well... I am Nick Frick'n Wheeler... ;) :D (that's a joke with Joe and I).

Will- It's 19.8 ounces total, so I'm happy with that considering all those factors you mentioned. I was worried it was going to be about 5 pounds. ;) :D Oh, and no secrets... just brutally hard workouts and eating clean. And a little crack/meth... HaHa (just kidding on that last part). ;)

Bill- I'll put in an order for a teleprompter right away!!! ;) :D On knife maker wages, that should only take about 15 years to pay off right? LOL :)

The knife is on its way to Paul, just to make sure you guys know. :)

Thanks guys!!! :)

Oops--thanks for correcting me on the weight. I first read that scale as 1.38 lbs, so multiplied 1.38 x 16 oz. But under 20 oz is even more impressive. That's what I get for trying to read small print off an iPhone screen.

Whatever you're doing is working for you--you are a lean machine, bro.

Will- No worries my friend, I kind'a figured that was the source of the confusion. Here at WCKs, we have the fancy scale that does the math for us! ;) :D And thank you--- I'm not anywhere near the condition/strength as when I worked as a trainer, but I'm slowly getting back there (who'da thunk it happens slower at 36 than at 20?!?!? ;) LMFAO :D). Mostly I am happy to fit into all my clothes and, quite simply, FEEL BETTER. :)

Oh, Joe... That dirt on my face is long gone, LOL. ;) Now a mohawk.... I would so grow a mohawk if I could!!! :D Damn male pattern baldness... :grumpy: LOL

I'm finishing up a small run of little knives (gotta keep the cash flow going ;)) and then will get on this full force. I've got a bunch of 52100 rounds (1-3/4" diameter) from Ms Ray Kirk, a big order of new belts, about 100# of 416ss rounds coming in the mail, and an order of new tooling to help with working the G10...it is very uncooperative when it comes to things like putting a tang hole in a block!

And I didn't forget about the videos I took during the handle shaping!!! I've got Adobe Premier on the way so that I can edit them together (hopefully it's just a short learning curve to getting it going enough to do that :foot:).

Thanks guys!!! :)

Nick and Joey: Safe and sound in TEXAS! It arrived here today. You did want Kydex, right????

Mike Starr, if you read this, get in touch with me. There was a little something in the package for you too.

Paul

Hi Eric

This piece could never go in Kydex

It would scratch it up eventually

Mike Sastre does some fantastic Kydex and if I was gonna go that route he is who would do it

High quality leather for me is as important as the knife

On a project like this it is a huge part

The sheath is finished and Joe has the Photos, but the knife with sheath is going to Coop Monday so they may not want to show anything else until the pro photos are done.

Joe, Nick, I'm sorry this took me so long;)

Like a well oiled machine :)

Guys a bit of bad news while filming an archery video my camera that had an external microphone hooked up. It tipped over and broke where the mic plugs into my GoPro

No worries they are an awesome company and already sent me a shipping label to send it in

They are replacing it for free :)

So I will not have a camera for a bit but hopefully it will be back by the time Jim is done

Steven is also sending me Matts to cut :)

Here is the video I was doing.

I completed it but did not realize the port was damaged till I was finished
