It was going to be a collabaration between Nathan, and Dan Keffeler. I cannot recall what happened to it

If I could only own one fixed blade, the LC would probably be it.Having just purchased a 10" LC from a gentleman on this forum, I must say it's a great piece.
The only problem I have found is that when I use it as a neck knife, every time I sit down I skewer my man parts. If I could only own one fixed blade, the LC would probably be it.
Sounds like you got the rare "NC" variant - CPK Nut Cracker. The only problem I have found is that when I use it as a neck knife, every time I sit down I skewer my man parts.
I think I can top that, I remember when skinners lasted for a week on 10. If you asked real nice Nathan would grind a thin one with the warning not to put too much side pressure on the D2 blade all for around $200For some additional perspective on this drama, I’ll just add that there was a time when $200 Shivs sat on the Exchange for DAYS! Hahahah. Oh my. Things seem to have changed.
If he is the customer who I think he is, yes he was an early adapter of your knives before the moniker CPK was even an official trademark on here. Further, again assuming that I am correct in guessing his identity, I don't think that he decided to move on because of the Shiv preorder being "late". For the record, he had stated his disgruntlement regarding the way that Fridays sales and flash sales were being managed. If your takeaway from this long time customer moving on from the brand is to discontinue preorders altogether, I hazard to say that there will be some more losses like him (just my 2Cs). Ultimately you are just too hard on yourself as sometimes people just move on for whatever reason, don't take such breakups so harshly
I THINK (but my brain is unreliable), that when I first started buying Nathan's knives, the UF was around $250, and the Shiv was around $300. And yes, they weren't hard to get hold off.I think I can top that, I remember when skinners lasted for a week on 10. Nathan the Machinist , what if you were to offer much smaller qty’s in the Pre-orders? Maybe do more of them and not let someone who was in the previous get it on the next? Would it not be feasible to limit them to maybe 50-75, maybe 100 or so at a time? Does it have to be such large qty’s of like 200-300 or so? Would that makes things easier or less stressful for you guys? Maybe still plan for a year and come in much sooner?
I read on InstaTwitter there will be a preorder for 30 Kukris on Fri, at noon, when E. goes shopping.
