Which handgun is "The One" you'd never ever part with?

Ruger GP-100, stainless with a nice 6" barrel. Love that puppy.

- Mark

I got the 4" version and it was a bargain at 300 bucks from an ad in the local paper.

I won't sell any of them, but this one was the first handgun I ever bought, and certainly isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

The one I would never sell is a Colt Army Special DA in .32-20 WCF. Not my favorite cartridge, but it belonged to my grandfather when he was chief of police in Hawthorne, CA, back in the '30's. When he was in civvies, he carried it in a shoulder holster. He carved his initials and year on the inside of the wooden grips, my father later did the same. It's a solid sidearm in the old fashioned DA design, the action is crisp. This picture is about 1" larger than life:

Otherwise, my favorite is a SA 1911 Mil-Spec.

I've sold off quite a few nice guns but the one I'll probably keep is my 6" Python. I got this from my brother and then had an action job done be Reeves Jungkind, top Python smith. Looks good, shoots great!!

For me it is my S&W 625 PD - .45ACP six shot revolver - scandium frame, titanium cylinder, hogue grips. A real sweetie!

My colt woodsman,3rd series. My dad gave it to me in Jan of 63.Shot a couple Whitetails with it and finished off a bunch of elk and other critters.

The one I could never let go of is my Ed Brown Special Forces 1911 with light rail. It's the nicest gun I own and it's a classic design. It's definitely a keeper.

I used to have an SP101 with the 2 1/4" barrel, but I sold it several years ago in order to help finance my acquisition of a pre-ban second generation Glock 19....and I've never regretted it. :)

If trouble was afoot, the FIRST hand gun I'm going to reach for, with my right hand, will be my Glock 19... and my left hand will be reaching for my Ruger SP101!!;):D

My favorite of my handguns is by far my Colt CCO. Tack driver and darn pretty to boot!

My Ruger GP100 - the first gun I ever bought. Thinking back, I'm surprised they sold it to me; this was before waiting periods and I had just come from the dentist's office with my mouth numb from novacaine.

(I apologize for the non-Ruger in the top left)

"Which gun would I never part with?"

An interesting question. One which is open to interpretation.
You can interpret it as, "what is my favorite gun?"
Or it could be , "To what gun am I emotionally attached?"

My favorite gun is my Ruger single six. I shoot it more often than any of my others. I have other .22's, so it isn't just cheap ammo. I have big bore autos and revolvers. But the gun that gives me the most satisfaction to shoot is the single-six.

However, the gun that I won't part with is my Dad's service .45 that he carried in WWII. Mother had it re-blued, so it has no collector value. Never been accuratized. But it was my Dad's.

I've got Ruger .357 in a 6" in barrel. The trigger is soooo smooth, I love it.
I highly recommend the Houge Grips  (with the finger notchs). Makes it even more fun to shoot

There ya go, give it to em' John Woo style!! :)

You know, it's funny that I own the 19 because I always hated Glocks and once swore that I'd never, ever buy a piece of combat tupperware - but damn if I don't love that ugly duckling. Talk about reliable, even when it's dirtier than the floor of a New York taxi and stoked with cheap (we're talking purple box here) reloads it still goes bang each and every time I pull the trigger. Can't ask for more than that.

By contrast my old Colt M1991A1 Stainless was a finicky eater and jammed three times just going through a single box of Winchester 230gr ball ammo - twice with stovepipes and once with a major feed jam. (You know, the nasty kind where the magazine can't be released and the slide is stuck...) I never trusted that SOB again. It sat like a safe queen for years until I took it to the shop for a consignment sale. Too bad though, it was one hell of a looker. :(

I don't think I would sell any of my firearms, down to my first a Marlin .22 bolt action rifle. My favorite of my handguns would have to be my Sig P220 SAO Carry Supreme. I rented one, and my first mag started with a douple tap at 7 rds, the holes were almost overlapping, center mass. I can shoot my Glock, and XD pretty good, but when I came across a great deal on this I had to buy it. It has never had any problems, and shoots so easy I'm amazed everytime I go to the range. It is my primary carry gun and I know it would never let me down.

My Sig Pro 2022 9mm. I've shot a lot of guns and this is a precise weapon. Comfortable, accurate, reliable, capable.

I love firearms and we all have one rifle, shotgun and handgun we favor and would never sell.
For me it's the Ruger SP101 with a 3" barrel in .357 mag.
It's handsome, reliable, has good power and carries very well as it's not huge.
I've loved this little revolver from the start and I purchased it brand-new.
What is the handgun you own that you'd never let go of out of them all?

I think that lil Ruger is a good choice.
I carry a Charter Bulldog in 44 special. It's a permanent fixture in my pocket.
It's light and makes a big B00M.
I can hit fast and accurate at 25 or 30 yards. If I take my time it's not too bad at 50.

Back in the days when Amurkins had testes and you could open carry, almost everywhere, I lived with a 3 screw Super Blackhawk on my belt.
That graduated to a 5 1/2 Redhawk or a 1911 in a shoulder rig....then to the Bulldog when I moved to a hot climate.

Maybe if I start wearing Spandex, like the other old hippies, I'll have to get one of those 45 /.410 " bus cleaners"
