Which knife did you own that you most regret selling?

I also fall into the category of never selling my knives, but instead gifting them to friends and family. The hardest knife to part with was a GEC Viper in Northfield trim with a cloud shield and white bone covers. The knife was a beauty but went to a well deserving new-father-to-be.

2012 SHOT Show Benchmade Mini-Onslaught. It was perfect in every way. Sold at a loss. Just needed the money more at the time.

Benchmade AFCK M2HSS. I've had 2 over the years and they somehow slip away. Haven't been able to locate one since the 2nd one was sold.

Here's an axe I regret selling. Bought here from the factory in Memphis. Wiped every fingerprint off after every use and made sure to always remove my pocketknife when playing. "Needed" the money at the time. One of my only regrets.

If I get into a serious financial scenario and maybe even if I don't, I would sell my gun collection. It is in fact part of the plan and I am approaching the time to move them to a new collector. I used to spend a lot of time researching, etc. Now.... not so much and I seldom even look at them. Things change and for that reason, I could see selling off a knife collection to concentrate resources. My knife accumulation doesn't merit much serious selling consideration. My knives from a practical point of view in terms of value are nickels and dimes.

Speaking of nickels and dimes.... my wife dumps coins into glasses and they sit around. Sometimes with a liquid cleaner to soak. Found one the other day and the coins were all corroded to the point that it was hard to tell the denomination. Spent about an hour cleaning them and now they will move into my pocket as I need. Let's just say it was part of my cleaning and consolidation efforts. Certainly not worth the time to do it. One knife would be worth more....

Handground Custom Emerson Super Roadhouse would be number one on my regrets list, followed by D/A Spyderco Vallotton Sub Hilt, then blue ano Medford Praetorian and Medford Arktika. Miss all of those.

Easy one. Still haunts me. An R.J. Martin Overkill with inlaid Damascus in the showside. R.J. said he only made three or four like that and I've never seen another. Wish I could find out how she's doing. Let her go for $700 a few years ago. :crushed::crushed:

Money got tight once.
Had to let go of my Helle Dokka and Northwoods Bullet Jack. I still miss both knives.

Only one, a perfect (yes, perfect) Strider SMF in the configuration I love.
Doesn't help that it came in a trade with a good friend....

If you're reading this and have my SMF, I want it back.....please.

Sold a BM 705 back in 2001 to fund buying some 9mm ammo. Dumb move.
Loved that knife. What was I thinking?

Maybe mine isn't as big of a deal as what many of you regret selling, but in my case, it's the Spyderco Endura 4 VG-10 Saber Grind. At the time that I sold it, I only had one other Spyderco... The Tenacious. The Endura 4 handle just wasn't right for me. However, after about 3 months, I realized how I missed the light weight of the knife. I missed how slim and sleek it was. The Tenacious was my beater knife and I still use it to this day. I use it more than my new Endura 4 in ffg. There is something about lockbacks I do not like.

In 1974 while stationed in West Germany I bought a Buck 112. I carried it daily for years. In 1988 we had a garage sale in preparation for moving and I sold it. I have regretted it ever since. I have a couple more 112s, but not that one.

I had a SS chassis James Brothers "Cheyenne" with a hand rubbed satin, tanto blade that I sold and have been kicking myself ever since. I've never seen another SS Cheyenne for sale but, if I did, I would jump on it.

Balibalistic latchless tac-u balisong. Its the only knife i would sell one of my guitars to acquire back.
